Better than on my 7 Plus. Again the big thing for many will be getting accustomed to the new gestures. My thumb kept trying to press a non-existent home button just from muscle memory.
Swiping up to get home is pretty intuitive. I’ll also admit it does take some time to get use to the “notch” as it annoyingly looks like the phone has a bad Zagg shield over it at first. But after a few minutes you kind of forget about it.
I played with it for about 20 minutes.
Pros
-It FEELS expensive. The glass back and extra heft make for an elegant and premium presentation. People who are paying upwards of $1200 won’t feel like Apple cheated out on the design or materials
-The screen is gorgeous and second to none. It might honestly be the best display on any phone I’ve ever personally owned. Everything looks crisp and colorful.
-Animoji’s are Fun! I spent like 8 minutes turning my face into a robot lol!
-Camera is speedy and takes great photos both in selfie mode and from the back camera
Cons
-Notch takes some getting use too
-The new UI for gestures will take some remapping of your brain after being trained to utilize the home button for the past 10 years
