Based on previous experience i would say your best bet is to call as soon as pre orders go live for T mobile. I've heard from some people that they did in fact get a call back from a rep but I've also heard that they haven't. Me personally i called the past two years as soon as pre orders went live and was able to get someone on the line within a minute, got both of my iphone's ordered within 10 min and got them both on release date. I tried the website but for me at least, it went down both times as soon as pre orders went live.

Thanks for the insight! So, what time realistically do you think you called?

Looking to pre-order an unlocked iPhone X for delivery in the US but I'm based in the UK. Will the T-Mobile one be the full price, unlocked, GSM version? Based on past experience, obviously.

I've pre ordered the past two iPhones on T Mobile and to be honest the website is a completely mess. I've never been able to get it done through the website. Usually goes down within a minute or so. However, I've had great experiences calling in as soon as 12 PST and got my phone on launch date both times.

No links so far provided by T Mobile yet. My guess is around tomorrow or Wednesday, maybe even Thursday we'll hear something from them.

Please post to this thread with that link. I have t-mobile too. And out of curiosity can you order t-mobile iPhones on Apples website.

I remember T Mobile pre orders going live at 1 a.m PST Friday. I remember calling in about 30 seconds before. If you call about a minute before and someone picks up right away they tell you to call back.

Last year , T-Mobile came up with the trade in Promo for Iphone 7 on the same day of Apple event on September 7 ( Around 630 PM)

I am hoping for some type of promo from TMO later today . The trade in promo really rattled other carriers and forced them to do a similar promo to keep up with TMO

Does anybody know if Tmobile offers something similar to AT&T Next where you can pay the phone in payments, and also have the option to pay it off early?

man the october preorder date puts a kink in my plans. i have a 6s plus now thats paid off and that i was going to sell. I dont want to wait untill late october to sell it because the value will drop so im wondering what the best course of action is.

should i sell it now, JoD to the 8 and then JoD again to the X?

im currently a basic Jump user so im not entirely sure i can even use JoD like thag

For past launches, anyone have luck getting a launch day iPhone when preordering through t-mobile's website? This will be my first time this year.

Yes; I've gotten two phones on launch day. Via calling in though---not the website.

Yeah you have that option with EIP, JOD gives you the option to upgrade your device every month with monthly payments.

I work for T-Mobile and i can insure you guys we have gotten no word yet.

I guess there is not much excitement after today announcement and without carrier promotions, the I8's are a tough sell. I am sure T-Mobile is going to come up with something to jump start the upgrades . May not be today but in the near future

This is what I found out from TMONEWS a short while ago

'T-Mo does say that for a limited time, customers can trade in an iPhone 6 or newer and get up to $300 off (via 24 monthly bill credits) an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X when they buy on EIP'

NM, it is up to $300 and not $300 .
Looks like all you will get is $90 for a Iphone 6 and so on

If you do sell it right away, you better like your back up phone because the availability of the iPhone X could be limited.

It took months for T-Mobile after launch to send my iPhone 7.

I'm holding onto my 7 for the time being. I can't decide between the 8 or the X. Although I know I won't get the X until early 2018. I hope the X doesn't turn out to be like the AirPods where Apple couldn't keep up with demand.

Anyone have any idea what the down payment could be for the X. I am guessing $350 if its $30 for 24 months.

i'm strongly leaning toward trading in my 6S+ for the full $300 credit toward an 8 Plus (and yes, they will give the full $300, they gave that to me for my dying iphone 5 couple months ago when i purchased a pair of 7s for my parents). i was dead set on the X but the it was nothing groundbreaking imo and lack of new colors really did it for me. looks like new gold iphone 8 Plus 256GB here i come.

if thats the case then my probability of getting the X just went to zero

Is the T-Mobile version of the iPhone 8 the universal all-bands model? It usually is, but not all the time.

Note was 210 down for 930 phone. iPhone X probably 280 down then 30 a month for 24 months.

This sound about right but you forgot we need to pay tax on it up front also which is $69. Its 7% in my state so it puts the final cost of the down payment at $349. This is going to be one very expense phone.
