With T-mobile you have to. No way out.Why would any one pay for a SIM card ??
i just asked t-mobile on twitter if there gonna announce iPhone X pricing for jump/JOD tomorrow but they told me no news on that yet?
Every upgrade or add a line, t-mobile sends you a new sim card worth 25 dollars. Is this with upgrade or new customers though?
I have now until next month to convince myself that I want the X. As of now, meh!

Bet it's $300 or better down and $35 a month. $0 down people will probably pay over $40 a month.

New customers as well.
You pay down payment, 25 for the sim and taxes, no matter what.I mean the down payment prices.
Are those for new customers or customers with JoD upgrades?

That's what they're saying right now, idk if that's for jump/Jod but that's scary lol

Were you first time customer?I dont think so .
I pre-ordered my 7 plus from Tmobile and I did not pay SIM fee .

Only tmonews they only revealed JoD pricing for iPhone 8/Plus, not the X.
Still hoping for a miracle!
Here it is! Prices!
The device starts at $1000, either going to be high down payment, high monthly cost, or both. No way around it.

Cross posted comment from TMONEWS - what're your thoughts?
I don't understand the payment structure for the iPhone X if you are a Jump customer - and looks like the iPhone Upgrade Program through Apple is much better. I'll be using the 256GB option for comparison.
T-Mobile (Jump) - 429.99 Down Payment + $30 EIP(12 Months) + $12 Jump(12 Months) = $933.99 + Taxes
Apple Upgrade Program - $56.16 Monthly Payment = 673.92 + Taxes
I realize that the Apple program does not include lost/stolen so the program may not be for everyone.
Is my math right? Or am I over looking something?
The math looks right. The difference is T-Mobile's down payment. If you only plan on keeping it 12 months, it would be cheaper to go through Apple. If you plan on keeping the phone 2 years and pay it off, it's basically a wash between them.
T-Mobile seems to structure their down payments so your monthly payment stays approximately $30.
Thanks for confirming. The only reason I'm on Jump (Original 1.0) was so I could upgrade every 12 months. Now if only I wasn't required to go in store to start the iUP. I was hoping that would be fixed by this upgrade cycle.
Wonder if any of you yanks can help me? I'm going to get my girlfriend to buy one in the states as it's about £200 cheaper to do so. But when do they release the SIM free version? It seems bizarre to me to buy a locked iPhone? In the U.K. you can buy an unlocked iPhone from day one.
