Bet it's $300 or better down and $35 a month. $0 down people will probably pay over $40 a month.

$35 is not to bad since i pay $30 for mine and $28 for my wifes iPhone in my opinion though $50 is to high better buying the phone out right.

Do @work customers have to order via telephone through T-Mobile or can I just order an unlocked, paid in full phone from Apple on launch night and throw my sim card in?

Cross posted comment from TMONEWS - what're your thoughts?

I don't understand the payment structure for the iPhone X if you are a Jump customer - and looks like the iPhone Upgrade Program through Apple is much better. I'll be using the 256GB option for comparison.

T-Mobile (Jump) - 429.99 Down Payment + $30 EIP(12 Months) + $12 Jump(12 Months) = $933.99 + Taxes

Apple Upgrade Program - $56.16 Monthly Payment = 673.92 + Taxes

I realize that the Apple program does not include lost/stolen so the program may not be for everyone.

Is my math right? Or am I over looking something?

The math looks right. The difference is T-Mobile's down payment. If you only plan on keeping it 12 months, it would be cheaper to go through Apple. If you plan on keeping the phone 2 years and pay it off, it's basically a wash between them.

T-Mobile seems to structure their down payments so your monthly payment stays approximately $30.

Hello, I signed up for TMO JUMP for the first time when I bought iPhone 7+ when it launched last year. My question is if I want to buy iPhone X thru Apple Upgrade Program, can I do it even though I'm still on the Jump program? Please advise. Thank you.

Thanks for confirming. The only reason I'm on Jump (Original 1.0) was so I could upgrade every 12 months. Now if only I wasn't required to go in store to start the iUP. I was hoping that would be fixed by this upgrade cycle.

I'm also on Jump 1.0. I have a 128gb 7 and after today I think I'm just going to keep it another year. The 8 isn't a big enough jump to warrant the upgrade and the X is too darn expensive (plus I don't want 64gb). Maybe next year.

Wonder if any of you yanks can help me? I'm going to get my girlfriend to buy one in the states as it's about £200 cheaper to do so. But when do they release the SIM free version? It seems bizarre to me to buy a locked iPhone? In the U.K. you can buy an unlocked iPhone from day one.

It's too bad my iPhone 6 literally died only a few weeks back. I'm just going to buy the 64GB 8 SIM-free although I'm on T-Mo because I'm outside the US often and use local SIMs for cheap.

Interestingly enough, they show the SIM-free option live. I'm curious, but they might have it available for pre-order along with the carrier locked ones on the 15th.
