Yeah there is no way I'd pay such a hefty down payment for the 256gb iPhone X. And now T-Mobile customers buying the 8 and X get this news:

I'm definitely gonna wait for the XS or X2 or whatever it's gonna be called now.

Enh, not a dealbreaker for me. We haven’t had any iPhone compatible with that band and I’ve been just fine. Plus it isn’t like that part of the network is gonna be fully up and running anytime soon.

Lol that band doesn't prevent LTE. There are other bands that run LTE just fine. Most areas will not have 600 mhz support period and will still rely on the current LTE Bands. BGR is a clickbait site and they are always negative. Note 8 users are enjoying their LTE and we have no 600 mhz band either. Those same current LTE Bands are currently the fastest in the United States .

Dumb question. I took advantage of the black friday promotion last year and got the iPhone 7 Plus for something like $200 down, and $8/month with my SE trade in. Can I do a JUMP upgrade to the 8? What happens to the discount I'm getting per month on the 7 Plus?

This is my first year with T-Mobile. If my wife and I plan to buy our phones in full, can we go through Apple?

Yes, if you are buying full price you can order directly from Apple. The real issue is the installment plans do not work on apple.com because of something on their backend.

How did it turn out? Serious question.

I had zero issues with my 6.

I thought people with JoD/JUMP weren't able to order through the website? I remember having to call a rep last year and being on hold for the longest time.

Pre-order last year was no easy ordeal, so I'm more mentally prepared this year. Plus, with all these articles predicting that X is going to be severely constrained, I'm not expecting to have my device until the middle to end of next month. Last year I remember receiving my device just before Halloween anyways.

I have JUMP! and did mine online with no issue except for the Rose Gold being backordered.

I want the iPhone X and I'm willing to wait for it if it's going to be backordered. I have my 7+ so I'll be okay for a few weeks or month.

Okay :) they wait until last min huh :p?
I guess so! Ha from what I was told, the one memo that leaked on t mo news is pretty accurate. 0 down on both iPhone 8 and 8 plus 64gb with JOD with the 256gb having a down payment. With EIP there is a down payment plus taxes upfront for both iPhone 8 and 8 plus 64gb and 256gb.

I'm curious about monthly payments if we trade a older iPhone in. I have a 7 and will be going for a plus this time

LOL. Band 71 won't even be deployed to 99% of America before 2019. For the few people that will have access to it (major metro cities), this might effect their decision to wait. For everyone else that upgrades every year, this means nada!

T-Mobiles way you get lower monthly payments. But Apples way could buy you AppleCare etc
You do realize that T-Mobile includes AppleCare with our insurance?
