LTE band 66 is included this year models
Band 66 is part of AWS. Not related to band 71 which is associated with the 600mhz spectrum we bought
[doublepost=1505403338][/doublepost]
So no free iphone 8 promo like last year from Tmobile?
Just the $300 credit spread out over 24 months if you trade in an iphone 6 or newer?
Yep. But Jump is included free. Once half paid off, you can turn the phone in and get a new iPhone. We pay off the remainder. Normally this is a $12 charge

So by doing the $300 trade-in promo you automatically signed up for the Jump on demand?

I'm here from last years thread as well. I spoke to a rep this morning that said if you order before the 21st you can get FREE expedited shipping which ensures a 24hour delivery window. So if you order tomorrow, and choose this option, you should be able to get it on the 23rd. I'm getting the 8+ gold 64gb and then upgrading to X in a few months :)

Same here, especially now I realized I will be signed on for the Jump when I trade in my 6S for the 8+

The trade in deal says "up to $300", but I see a lot of people talking about $300 for iPhone 6 and up. Any confirmation on trade values? I want to trade in my 6+, but hoping to get the full $300. If not I'll just sell my phone and buy straight from Apple.

Exactly. I'll play with the 8+ for a while and then take advantage of my JOD and get the X once it dies down a bit. Best of both worlds!
[doublepost=1505404087][/doublepost]Does anyone on here know what time preorders open for AZ? Is it 12 am or 1?

So what's the best way to preorder? I will be doing a trade in, so does that mean I have to go to a physical store on Friday?

At the iPhone hacks section.
Yes, maybe they wont do a free iphone promo with bill credits this year.
But there's still time so we'll see if they decide to make a push and offer anything better than this.

The trade in offers from T-Mobile and the other carriers are pretty poor this year. Better off selling your 7 or 7 Plus yourself this time around. $300 is pretty much giving it away and leaving a lot of money on the table.

Does anyone know how it works to get off of JUMP and move over to the IUP? I’d rather purchase from Apple but if I recall they don’t have integration with T-Mobile yet?
Any one have insight? thanks.

So to clarify, the "new" iPhone upgrade program through TMO is effectively jump without the $12/mo fee? Does it include the same warranty coverage Jump did?

If i'm a current JUMP customer, can i JUMP to the new phone (assuming 50% paid off) and then reduce my monthly JUMP fee by the $12?

This is what it says right now:

Enrolling with T-Mobile
To join the iPhone Upgrade Program with T-Mobile, you’ll need to visit an Apple Store and check in with a Specialist once iPhone 8 or iPhone X become available.

No mention warranty / insurance coverage that I could see. And they don't called it JUMP at all-- they're calling it T-Mobile's "iPhone Upgrade program"-- "Customers just trade in their current iPhone when 50% is paid off, and T-Mobile will wipe out their remaining payments so they can upgrade to their next iPhone free and clear – with no hassles, no crazy hoops and no lump sum payments. T-Mobile customers who buy or pre-order their new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X on the Un-carrier’s interest-free installment plan automatically get this one-time benefit for free."

This. I have been wondering as well what it entails to move from JOD over to Apple's program. Some have mentioned it being more cost effective to switch to Apple's program, buy outright from them, or even to just buy a Verizon phone to use on T-Mobile, etc. Just seems like every year to order directly through T-Mo is such a hassle where needing to get the "executive" team involved to even place an order correctly. And then what best option would be to pay off T-Mo lease on JOD but still get most money for 7+.

Apple's program is totally separate, and doesn't involve trading in your current phone at the time of enrollment. (I mean you probably could, but they'd just give you their normal trade in value which probably won't satisfy the balance on your T-Mobile EIP.) So you could enroll in Apple's program (unfortunately this still has to be done in an Apple store-- I guess I lucked out when I enrolled with the 6S Plus, it wasn't a hassle at all and it was an impulse decision just a few days after launch) and then worry about unloading your other device and cancelling JoD separately.

I'll add that the only way I can see buying a Verizon phone being more cost effective is if you bought it outright from Verizon on your own 24 month interest free credit card-- otherwise you're going to have to activate it on Verizon and that will entail paying an activation fee at the very least.

Best way for me personally was to call in as soon as pre orders went live. T mobile's website went down for me as soon it started both years i ordered my iPhone. If you do trade in, once your new device ships and you receive it, you just into a store to turn your phone in or you can contact T Mobile and they can send you a box and label and send it back via mail.

Makes sense. Our remaining balances on our 7+ leases are about $400 each as it is, so would probably be a wash anyway. But yeah, was wondering how that was supposed to work with Apple's program, since they give you a gift card for your old one, and it would seem like you would want to put the gift card toward the new one.

At this point, we may just end up doing like some others mentioned, and pre-order the 8+, see how it is, and then see how the X fares and maybe jump to that, since those are going to be in such limited supply anyway.

But do I need to pay out of pocket first if I preorder via phone?

Depends on what you are looking to get. Also if you plan on doing JOD or EIP. With JOD the iPhone 8 and 8 plus in 64gb have 0 down. For the higher memory they do have a down payment. If you do EIP. I believe they all have down payments plus taxes upfront, 64gb and 256gb on iPhone 8 and 8 plus.

I am on JOD and my iPhone 7+ is more than 50% paid off, am I eligible for the IUP? and if so, could I still have insurance on my new phone. T-Mobile's details are so scarce and unclear. Its annoying.

I called a CSR and they told me I didn't have to make a down payment or pay taxes up front but it's possible that some accounts are just different than others

What are you planning on ordering?

I just talked to someone at t-mobile and Those are the prices they gave me. Plus for the iPhone X was $279.99 down for the 64gb and $429.99 down for the 256gb one. I think I'm gonna have to wait till next year for that one or whatever the new one is they release next year.
