Textfree Unlimited has never hanged on me but I did pay $5.99 for it, which "buys you priority" as claimed by the developers.

I am looking forward to the new servers Derek. It should fix the hanging issue right?

I am beta testing 3.3. There is no hang and the UI is even better.
 
This will be great. Im waiting for v3.3. I already recommend this to most of my friends. Especially when it was on sale for $0.99
 
derek, I've had one message hang since your update yesterday. is it my phone? I don't think so because textfree sends my messages perfectly fine.

I also see that textfree sends the message on an average of 2-3 seconds faster than textnow.
 
I would like to see a much faster start time to textfree. When I click on the app it should load faster.
 
We made more optimizations on our server so the updating/sending should be better now.

As for the application load time, we are going to make optimizations so that it loads up faster. The app load time for v3.3 is around 3 seconds on the iPhone 3G.
 
the texts are sending a lot faster now.

I am excited for the update! apple is taking way too long.
 
Derek, what happen. It looks like there is a server problem now. Cannot connect. Keep on getting error connection to the server. Please fix thanks.
 
Messages are sending faster and I haven't had a message hang since the latest update. :D

I got the update. I can say nice/good job. I love it more now. TEXTNOW is the best.

@ derick. Will you support in the future phone numbers that has custom name? :D
 
Is there any lag time?

is there a free demo version to download? how quick is the messaging? good thing I don't live in Canada. :apple:

I don't text so much. Base from my experience it was great (v3.2). Faster send and receive after the latest server upgrade. I'm currently using the integrated GV.

No lag, I can say 7 seconds to launch the v3.3

Maybe those heavy user have a better idea if they experience any issue.

Also it is only 0.99 cents now you don't need a demo version. If you buy now you have free additional ringtones and wall paper
 
Awsome update love it although my one thing about it is could you make the text field where your typing just a smidgen smaller.

it seems to grow oddly.

How it works now:
If you select it you get 2 lines. You get done with the first line of text and it moves to the second... but... it also adds a 3rd line of empty space below it. Text never hits that third line. So why is it there? It's clearly wasted space.

How it should work:

It should start with 1 line of empty text. You type a message, once it gets long enough that it needs a second line then the text field should expand vertically. But it should never take up more space than it needs to.

That said, it looks great. I have no issues outside of the fact the text field is too large and could certainly use some tweaking as stated above. Can there also be a clear message button? I type out a message, want to rewrite it. I gotta either hold down backspace or double tap to select all and hit backspace. Also, would be great if it had a character count. I'd love to know if my message is over 160 characters.
 
ok i had to reinstall my icon and now i cant use my text name cause its already taken how do i restore that?
 
I agree can the text entry box be made 1 line and expand to 2 lines when it fills up? I am also seeing a load time of 7 or so seconds when the app is selected. I heard it was to be around couple of seconds. Can load time be made faster?
