The third kit is lovely, agreed, and, personally, I would love to see it replace the psycheledic grotesque horror - that is our second kit for this season.
I've actually seen those around London. I think there's a decent following who like it.

We did win a 🥉

Sometimes that feels better than getting silver and loosing a gold in finals.
But it still feels sh** that we didn't go to the final.

Olympics next year will be hot.

Sarina Wiegman would not be allowed to manage a men's team because men would not allow it. There is way to much misoginia within men's football. Look at how many men in the game, many of them high profile have been caught out disparaging womens football. It is my opinion that if Ms Wiegman was given a shot at managing a men's football team there would be elements within the game that would see to it that she failed.
Why would she? Apart from the salary increase it would be like stepping down from the Premier League to the Championship. Why manage a bunch of overpaid prima donnas who roll around on the floor all the time?

I am English and a life long Tottenham supporter. I have suffered indescribable agony most of my football life. The Lionesses have given me hope, faith and enjoyment. Sarina please stay with them!

I thought the changes to time wasting this season provided priceless comments from managers. Oh our poor players will have to be fitter to last the extra time it will be so hard on them. OK what if they didn't time waste then? No extra time unless its for a genuine injury.

Moving from a team we always draw against (Chelsea) to one we never draw against (Bournemouth). So if nothing else I expect a more decisive result this week.

I’d be happy to draw with Chelsea tomorrow.
I think that many would hold a similar view.
Especially as they’ve spent another £150 million this week!
They have spent close to a billion pounds - £1 billion is an eye-watering and jaw dropping sum - on players since the beginning of this year.

Only state owned clubs can afford to spend more.

I don’t think Arsenal are far behind. You’ve spent the second or third highest I believe. But yes Chelsea have managed a tremendous amount of transfers.

We have bought three (one of whom, most unfortunately, is already out injured, an injury that will keep him on the sidelines for the best part of the entire season from what I can gather) and are in the process of selling some.

Raya and Rice both look to have excellent buys, and I'm delighted that those transfers went through.

Mind you, I do feel for Liverpool, having been gazumped - twice - by Chelsea, in recent weeks.

That had happened to us (also twice) in January, as you may recall.

Very much a mixed bag at Anfield. Liverpool are playing like a caricature of themselves - comedy defending punctuated by heroics from Alisson and van Dijk, an improved midfield and very effective forward unit with the fullbacks continuing to provide key contributions in the final third.

This team will see very few 0-0 draws this season.

Strangely, things seemed to settle a bit after ‘Pool went down to 10 men, but Bournemouth continued to create chances throughout. For a matchup that never features draws, this could easily have been 3-3 if Bournemouth’s finishing were better. I shudder to think what Haaland is going to do to this shaky defense.

Attitudes change, and thus, over time, times also change.

In the last men's world cup, we saw female referees and female linesmen take charge in some games.

I would expect this to change, (eventually, if not immediately), not least as few can argue against the quality of football we have seen in the women's game during this world cup.

Injuries could well decide the title. KDB is a bigger lose for City than Timber is for you imo. But hard to say. But City have more strength in depth.

Meanwhile Utd name two goalkeepers in their substitutes and no space for McGuire.
He should have come to The London Stadium. We would have found him a spot.

City have much more strength in depth, and a bottomless wallet or purse with which to pursue players who may fill whatever gaps the team has currently.

I honestly do not understand why Maguire failed (or refused) to take advantage of the opportunity to move to West Ham, where he would have been guaranteed first team football, and would have made a good fit with the way that Moyes has chosen to construct the team.

Indeed. Who knows he may have been club captain after a time. But there you go. He’s earn’d more money this week than I will in the next 5 years and hasn’t even had to work on Saturday!
Tough at the top.

Even without KDB I still consider Man City as strong favorites for the title by a good margin. None of the other possible contenders look so much stronger than last season that I see them seriously challenging.

I think Arsenal and Chelsea have strengthened. But yes I still see City as favourites.
Alack and alas, but I find myself in agreement with you both.

While I do see some sort of challenge (to the behemoth of a juggernaut that is Manchester City) arising - perhaps from Arsenal, or Chelsea, or even, Newcastle - during the course of the season (as when Arsenal led last season for several months, indeed, most of the season), the real test will come in March, or April, when injuries, fatigue, a lengthy season, and lack of squad depth or quality will tell on the teams chasing City.
