The HTC One (2013) should still be getting Sense 6 right?

Who knows when it comes to skinned android phone. If you have the developer version I would say you have a better shot, but it just being updated to KitKat with sense 5.5, so you would probably have to wait at least until the next version of android before you would get it.

New leaked pictures seem to confirm the design of the phone.

Can't upload the pictures right now. They're on phonearena.com.

Two cameras on the back confirm for me the UltraPixel s***. HTC could do this to mitigate the 4 megapixel resolution or something.

Design in the front is mostly the same.

Unless the second camera is a 13mp shooter, an extra piss poor ultrapixel is NOT what we need.

If real, that's a lot of bezel and wasted space at the bottom for an HTC logo.

Ugh. And in order to extend the glass front to fit all that, they've fumbled the harmony that the bezel to glass ratio had on the original One. Look at how close to the curve the glass ends.

The saga of the stupidity of the HTC logo placement continues...

I have to agree with everyone on the logo placement. I seriously considered the HTC One last year, but Verizon was super late to the party on that one, as usual, so I ended up not getting it. I am intrigued to see what they do with the M8, but they are going to need to do something impressive to compete with the S5 I think.

Looks like back to capacitive buttons on this one?

Nope, those are on screen buttons. Look closely and you can see the wallpaper image continues (with less transparency) behind the buttons.

HTC won't allow no logo on the front.

Everyone else has their logo on the front: Sony, Samsung, LG, Nokia, etc.

Normally I'd agree but the problem HTC has is the speakers. On all of the other mentioned manufacturers, they include their name/logo on the top or bottom bezel exactly where HTC has their speakers. They tried to get around that problem on the One by replacing the typical home button location--and got crushed for it.

If they tried to use a design such as the one linked to earlier with the giant bottom bezel, the criticism they saw for last years gaff would seem like a walk in the park compared to what they'd see this year. Sacrificing functionality and design just for the sake of having their logo front and center would be the final nail in the proverbial coffin--and in my opinion would be a well deserved demise.

If they're smart, they take a page from Apple's playbook and only include their logo on the back.

Maybe HTC could've etched their logo next to the top or bottom speaker grill or something. It's just three letters. It would fit.

Yeah, or maybe they can just focus on developing and building an awesome phone that people would be aware of because of how wonderful it performs..not because of a few little letters shoehorned in somewhere. (BTW, not criticizing your comment but rather the typical approach these OEM's take).

A great phone will stand on it's own and people will know it, regardless of the location of the logo. I hope HTC has even a modicum of common sense in this area...but I doubt it.

I'm not a fan of the looks of the new model at all really. Sad, because I was an avid supporter of the original One.

Yes. The design of the One already stands out from all other flagship Android phones, and HTC have already been universally lauded for it - letting it speak for itself would be a show of confidence.

For me personally, that would possibly become the tipping point that would make me buy a 2014 One. The original design is so beautiful, but that damn logo spoiled it for me. A totally clean One front might be literally irresistable.

Am I the only one who didn't mind the power button on the HTC one.

I never miss-pressed it like I always do on the bloody Note 3. Everytime I go to press volume down or up in one hand I invariably squeeze and thereby hit the power button at the same time as trying to adjust volume.... Drives me nuts !!

I do look forward to the release of it - but with apprehension over the camera.

I won't be buying a Samsung device again despite really liking the Note 3 simply because of the whole KNOX warranty void.
