Oh, you work for HTC?

At this point I'm calling it a safe bet. One Max got it. Ditto Desire 816. Evleaks tweeted the M8 Mini specs saying it's getting one. I'm very confident the M8 will have an SD slot.

It's not too farfetched for Htc
Keep selling 64gb internal plus optional sd and people will freak out
Just don't screw up the camera

I would be like.. What Htc logo bezel? I don't see it.

iPhone 6 is coming and boomsound + sd would be a good differentiator (+freedom)

I don't think HTC is worried of competing with the iPhone 6 at all. Their competition will probably be within the android domain..How many units did the One sell? I think they are gunning for the S5 here with the M8 and will be gunning for the Note4 with the M8 MAX (if at all)...They do get the design language right and the ONE is certainly something that does not need changing in 14..An SD card will only be more of an incentive for Galaxy S3 and 4 users to consider this device...They have to get the camera right..It does not have to pack in as many features as samsung throws into its flagships, it just needs to be solid thought out addition..

I guess I'm speaking from my own perspective. Based on m8's rumors, looks like it would be between m8, iphone 6, or maybe motox2 for me this year.

Argh, I wish the bezels weren't so large. This phone needs to be edge to edge on the sides and just speaker grills on top and bottom. No logo, no nonsense and it needs a power button on the side. That power button on the top was a total PITA with the old One. If it turns out to have these improvements, I'm buying it on launch day.

The more I see leaked photos of the AT&T & Verizon versions, the more I'm just NOT feeling it with the latest design of the HTC One (2014) compared to last year. Generally it is a rehash but I tend to prefer M7 over M8 especially the glacial silver with the silver bezel trim on both sides that the new M8 all lack. M7 was just more fresh and original. The top speaker is now uneven. And the green weather widget in BlinkFeed doesn't do the M8 any favors in those promo shots.

I guess it is similar to how some people feel with the Samsung Galaxy S4 vs S5. They generally do look the same but some feel the S5 looks worse and ergonomically worse for one-handed use since newer phones are getting taller and wider. But performance counts more at the end than design and hoping the camera picture quality is much improved. Sometimes I use the 2.1MP selfie cam more than the M7's rear cam because colors are a tad more accurate in low light.

Saw someone use a "fervour red" Butterfly S the other day. Looked very nice. I mistook it for a red One but realized later that was the Butterfly S and checked it out again at the HTC store. I predict the All-New HTC One will have similar dimensions as the HTC Butterfly S from last year which had a 5-inch display, same SoC as the M7 clocked 200 MHz higher, but with a 3200 mAh battery and expandable memory slot. This M8 is rumored at 2900 mAh with lower internal storage at 16 GB but possible expandable memory slot.

Actually if the HTC One (2013) didn't get all the praise for its design, I think the Butterfly S may have been the best phone from HTC last year. It generally had mostly everything the M7 had along with a bigger Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 clocked higher, expandable memory, and 3200 mAh battery. The far larger One max had a 3300 mAh battery or only 100 mAh more to the Butterfly S by comparison. The Butterfly S may have been the best HTC phone of last year if it had a metal body and wasn't prone to chipping or scratches.

Dimensions
137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 (HTC One/M7)
144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6 (HTC Butterfly S)

^^^ HTC One/M8 will likely fall in line closer to the Butterfly S give or take a millimeter or two in some areas like the M8 probably won't be quite as thick.

Thing is I don't know if WP is something I should use. Google services are very important to me.

And that's why I had to come back. WP was decent as an OS, but it was the Google services that I couldn't live without, and sorry, but I'm not using Microsoft's services over Google's, they just don't compare. I don't think you'd like WP if you rely on Google services.

I have a feeling that once we see an actual model we'll like it much more than how it's depicted in the render. That's usually what happens 90% of the time.

Some kid posted a video on Youtube and he seems to have a Genuine M8.

I think his parents must work for HTC and carelessly left it laying around the house or something. He's a little annoying sorry.

I can't see the video, either. However, some who have say that is does have an sd card slot. Even though I am not replacing my Note 3, the first HTC One was a really nice phone. Hopefully, this iteration continues and builds on the 1st.

My girlfriend has the HTC one and I just can't get used to the no home button on it and for some reason find it really hard to navigate around it...good phone obviously, very good but not sure HTC would ever be for me.

It looks almost the same from the previous version and kinda dull.

But I guess...if it ain't broke why fix it right.

Haha. This was my experience, as well. Sense 5 was supposed to be so intuitive; not so much for me. However, I put Nova Prime on it and it was pretty fluid.

Nice to see the device up close but the kid doing the review, wow...no clue what he's doing whatsoever...

I'm a tech geek and when we were out last night I had to get her twice to show me the nearest section to take pictures on the camera. She always has to edit all the pics she takes as the quailty on the camera is very poor compared to my note 3...but the apps you can get to edit photos these days are very good so it's not as big of a deal as it used to be.

SD card confirmed. Looks awesome IMO. Kid made a huge mistake.

I does look really nice, and I like the look better than original One. Though I really wish they would have gotten rid of that stupid bottom bezel just for the HTC logo. I'll be sticking to my nexus though, unless there is a huge bump in battery life, that was my biggest problem with the original One, that and charging speed.

Its also funny how the kid keeps forgetting to cover up the ID sticker on the back, you'd think he would put something over it first before shooting.
