I've now switched over to the Artwizz- iPhone SeeJacket Crystal case for now. Just got it a few hours ago and am liking it so far. The only complaint (so far) is what other people have complained about, which is how the edge of the phone isn't smooth and has a sharp-like edge to it..... as well as the ear piece cutout holes. I hope a lot of dust and whatnot don't get into the case.

I'm still looking for that perfect case :/

well this is an iPod touch... i got a griffin hard clear case for it. I flattened a $10 bill and put it in the back :) I think it looks awesome now.
(btw, I added fake phone, texting, and app store icons and switched the icons around to make my iPod touch home screen look exactly like the iPhone 2.0:D)

I realize my point of view is not the majority here, and I'm sure you all think you're pretty funny. Just sharing my opinion, which is pretty much what forums are for. I'm not a hardcore vegan, I'm just not ignorant. Anyway, have fun!

I agree with you on this one. :)
I'm not vegitarian or vegan... but I'm aware of the difference between calfskin and leather. And I only buy free-range meat from animals that at least got a shot at life before they were, well, shot!
Respect.

iPhone Silicone Case vs. other cases

The iPhone is here! And of course the natural next step to any new technology is the ipod accessories that go with it.:apple:

It has been predicted that the majoirty of iPhone users will choose a iphone silicone case to protect it...it is the next generation of technology cases and accessories. The iPhone silicone case w/ iphone screen protector protecting and displaying your cool new iPhone. See the advantages and why a silicone case is the best fit your iPhone.

Silicone ("skin") is the newest fashion covering iPhones, iPods, mp3s, and other phones and devices.iPhone silicone cases are designed as a form-fitting skin that provides protection by preventing scratches, chips and finger prints from accumulating on the phone.

Iphone Silicone skin cases are a new type of soft case that has a contoured, form-fitting style and maintains a low-profile to preserve the look and size of your device without adding bulk or weight.

Silicone is a material that manages heat in a way that iphone leather cases and other materials cannot. So when your iPhone is cranking, there is an easy transfer of heat through the case.

When compared to other covers or cases, skin silicone cases feel softer to the touch and reduces surface dust, while the anti-slip properties gives your device more grip on surfaces.

So the coolest thing to happen to a cell phone (the fabulous iPhone) has just gotten cooler. The iPhone Silicone Case is sleek, durable and so nice to hold.

But the choice, as always, comes down to style and personal preference.

best iphone case

I tried silicone.... but it's not really dockable.

I personally have the white incase slider to match up with my white macbook, and white apple accessories. It's the only one that's dockable. I tried the agent18, it's nice but the eco case in natural is all sold out. I see it on Amazon for like $60, which is ridiculous, when a comparable black eco case cost half as much.

But it's all preference, and how people will end up using it.

Contour Show Case

Hmmm.... It happened today. As careful as I am.... I dropped my iphone.
No scratches dings... nothing. This Contour show case can absorb impact with it's rubberized material.

I'm glad I had it in the case. It was on a rug and I was sitting, never the less... whew..............

what about the defender?
the straight black looks pretty great to me, just a tad bulky
the matias armor also looks nice to me, but is probably too slippery

is there anything out there with looks like the matias armor, but offers protection =/> the otterbox defender for around the same price/ cheaper?

ty for help.

does a usual apple ipod sock fit the iphone?
without leaking a few mm out...

i just got the Piel Frama magnet flipper. I personally don't understand all these cases that cover the BACK of the phone only. This one is very high quality leather, fits great, provides quick access to the screen, and totally protects the screen:

I have an Agent 18 clear case and anti-glare screen protector.
I love it!

I found my perfect case

When I was searching for the perfect iPhone case for me, I found this thread and read all the way through it. Lots of great info and advice, and I really appreciated everyone's contributions.

I had it narrowed down to two choices, a hard case and a silicone case, but was stumped as to which would suit me best. My silicone iPod cases all collected excess lint from my messenger bag, yet I didn't think the slick hard cases would provide enough grip for clumsy fingers.

So I wandered into my local Apple store and found the Griffin Wave. I love it. The sleek fluid design complements the simple beauty of the phone, and the translucent plastic allows you to see the Apple logo on the backside. I figured I could even personalize it (like the way the previous poster put a $10 bill in the back of his/her clear case) by adding some decals to the back, since they'd still be visible.

The design of the Wave is not too thick, and provides easy access to all the ports and buttons, while providing enough of a barrier that if I drop it, the case will take the impact instead of the exposed areas; even the front of the phone is protected. And the best part is that the plastic is slightly 'rubberized' and provides a smooth grip surface.

You have to take it apart if you wish to use the dock, (I just plug it into the cable) but the case comes off and on very easily. It also came with a screen protector that I didn't think I'd want, but is surprisingly nice. No hindrance with the touch screen at all.

Here's a blog I found with great pics:

I have had a number of cases so far, none of which have been the answer for me. I do have the anti glare film on the screen, but I want a case that will protect the phone from falls and one that has a secure belt clip. Also, since sometimes I like to put my phone in my purse rather then on my clothes, I want some type of screen protection other than just the anti-glare film.

I have/had the:

Z Cover: loved it at first, but it stretched out and the clip isn't secure on my clothes/belt at all. Also, there's no additional screen protection.

ISkin Revo with Belt Clip/Holster: love it, but I lost the plastic screen cover which I actually used a lot so I could safely put my phone in my purse and not worry about the screen. Then a small piece on the very expensive belt clip/holster broke off, and I used it anyway ... the phone has come crashing down to the hard floor 3-4 times already. Yikes!

Contour Showcase: had and returned -- waaaaaay too tight a fit -- I nearly broke the phone trying to get that case off!

Marware Sportsuit Convertible: If I was doing really active sports, I'd probably buy the Ottorbox, but for regular gym workouts, I think this is a great case -- gives you both a clip (with a slim profile and very strong), and an arm band, and does a great job of covering the phone with a piece of plastic that covers the front of the phone that doesn't affect the touch sensitivity of the screen. I may actually use this for when I'm out with my daughter at the water park or swimming since it provides a little extra coverage.

Sena Dockable case in pink: I wanted to try a leather case, and I just received it -- it's going back. I've already written them three times for an RA#, and I've yet to hear back, so I'm not happy with their customer service. The case came damaged (dirt and smudge spots, nicks in the leather), and I do not like that it opens upward, leaving the flap to hit against my head. It's very akward looking and feeling. Sorry to those who like this case, it's JMO.

Sena Magnetflipper case in black croc embossed leather: I bought this thinking I would like a leather case that opened downward rather than upward -- I do NOT like the flap hanging at the bottom either. Also, the magnetic closure is not strong enough -- the flap came "unhinged" several times while wearing it on my belt. The clip is also too bulky for my taste.

So, as a last ditch effort, I've ordered two more cases -- first, the Otterbox Defender in black to get that all around protection, plus it comes with a separate belt holster so I have the added protection of placing the phone in there face first. The belt clip looks very sturdy in the video reviews, but I'll have to see. The second case I ordered is the Speck Toughskin in back (and it also comes with a holster). I'll post a review when I get them in case anyone is interested.

Maybe I'll get lucky and the 8th case will do the trick. :)

Has anyone use the artswiz seejacket case or the xylo t2 case? I have really liked these case designes but have heard that they had reduced touch sensitivity and some say that they attract oils from your face onto the screen. Can anyone deny or confirm this? I am really wanting to get one but sinking 45 dollars into this case and not like it just isn't very pleaseing... I geuss I can always just go for it and see what I get..

This is the best case out there

My only vice is The Silence switch is not usable through this case.

You must be kidding. This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.

The truth: incase slider for affordable combo of looks and protection. Incase rubber guy for superior grip and excellent shock protection (mine survived a toyota matrix to the face!). iWood, for supreme looks, protection and if you wanna blow thier socks off.

Just replaced my iPod sock hack with ivyskin, so far I'm happy!

I can see who's calling when it rings now :D
