Cases with neck straps

Hey, are there cases that come with a neck strap or lanyard, it would make life much easier for me especially during work, (events and trade fairs)...

Anybody know of any good ones? All i've seen are DIY stuff on goggle...

I used to hang my old nokia around my neck for almost all the time...

The BEST case I've owned yet. PERIOD.

I've owned 5 iPhone cases so far... Here's what I look for...
1. all the time protection, meaning the case stays on the phone so when i drop it it is still protected when I'm actually using it.
2. Protects all areas of phone
3. Aesthetically Pleasing
4. Easy to remove if needed, but provides adequate access to all buttons and is able to be docked.
5. Slides in out out of my pocket easily (not like the silicon cases)

SO here is the case I chose... It LOOKS AWESOME, protects it all the time even facedown the screen doesn't touch the screen, has a removable bottom for dock, able to access all controls easily, QUALITY build.

Check it out, I PROMISE you won't be dissapointed.

I agree with your list of requirements for an iPhone Case ndhill.

Perhaps I am missing something but in your item:

2. Protects all areas of phone

your choice of case seems somewhat deficient in screen protection, accepting that it is not possible to use the iPhone without accessing the screen?

Probably there is not an available case capable of absolute protection under all conditions, so IMHO it is necessary to seek the best possible 'system' of iPhone case, lanyard or whatever combination.

I am nearer to making my choice and hopefully within a month or so I will be able to post some photos of the 'rig'.

I've had a few in my time and here are my quick reviews:

1) Slider - great look, but inside rails mark up the back of your phone.
2) Griffin reveal - nice case, had issues with water marking on the back..also scratches on back show
3) Speck Candyshell - great case for protection, but hard to get off and the back shows finger prints and scuffs marks. If this came with a matte back it would be the best. Adds bulk
4) Incipio Feather - my personal favorite even though it doesn't provide protection like the others. Great look and easy to get off and on, as well as being the slimmest case around. The price $15 and matte back put this over the top for me. I have both black and olive.

I guess it really matters what you are looking for and what is important.

Hope this helps.

My 3GS should arrive on Monday so need to get a case quickly, can someone please tell me which case has the least bulk but yet has drop protection and on table design? the Candyshell Batwing at the top of my list atm followed by the Rebel.

Just in case you were thinking about it, stay away from Vaja cases. I had one for my original iPhone and loved it! It was great and I showed it proudly to people. I bought a new one for my 3GS and, within a month it is showing considerable wear on it and much of the black leather is turning gray.

I contacted Vaja about the situation, because I assumed I had just gotten a bad lot, and they said it was my fault and I rubbed it against a rough surface or scraped it with an object. I treated this case, exactly the same way I treated the other one and it looks awful. The worst this case has ever gone through was being put in my pocket with nothing else in it. I took very good care of both of my Vaja cases, because I paid so much for them, and this one blows.

Vaja is making crappy products now and giving terrible customer service.

Personally to this day I have never had a problem with my vaja cases for the ipod touch and iphone 3g

The Incase Metalic Slider case is pretty rad. I'd recommend it any day.

I've been really happy with my Candyshells and Solo FX so far; I think I feel safest when I have a Candyshell on it. That's usually what I throw on when I'm going to the gym or someplace where there's a possibility (however remote) that I could drop my iPhone or accidentally bang it into something. I'm actually giving one to my mom for her birthday because she's (hopefully!) getting an iPhone from my dad and has, with previous phones, had an alarming tendency to drive with them on her lap, forget they're there, and then have them fall and bounce off the ground when she gets out of the car. It's not a huge drop, sure, but I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen her poor RAZR basically explode into 3 or 4 pieces when it hit the pavement.

I'm thinking Square Trade might also be a good idea for a b-day present for her, come to think of it. ;)

I like the Candyshell as well, but cannot plug a standard 3mm jack into it. I suppose I could shave off the plug until it fits.

Is there an adapter that can be used for this, in the event I use a connector that's not mine?

I'd never take my iPhone to the gym. I'd get a dummy-phone for that..

From reading the reviews I was very interested in the Case-Mate leather cases, but from looking at them, it looks like they provide no protection from a fall if it hits from the top.

Is there a leather case with similar quality that protects the top?

Also, what's the default recommendation for a clear "skin" these days?

Case-Mate does make a case or two that has full protection on the top - the Signature Series most likely wont work for you, but something like the dockster may.

Best Skins Ever is your best bet for the clear skin. It's $7.99 ($5.99 + $2.00 shipping) for the back and $9.99 for the front & back. I've used them on all of my iPhones (a lot) and they've always worked beautifully.

How do you guys rate the Rebel Serpent by SwitchEasy?

I just bought mine and it had a rip on the bottom and it doesnt fit over the whole iPhone properly, as in it doesnt cover the bezel completly.

...?

I'm all for reinventing yourself, but the Vaja iPhone cases look like recycled bowling shoes to me. They have none of the sleekness their prior designs have had.

Piel Frama FTW.

When I saw your icon, i thought it was trying to load the picture. Even though I'm on my school's Windows PC lol. Just had to tell you :)

For Now I have gone with the Peil Frama

I mentioned earlier that I was considering the Piel Frama with Magnetic Latching flip over screen protector.

Bit the bullet when I found out that the Belt Clip arrangement would allow some simple mods.
This may be of particular interest to the poster who was going to make alterations using a Dremel?
IMO it was essential to have the ability to fit a Lanyard-Wrist Strap which the chosen Case did not support.

Anyone interested can see the outcome at:

i have a vaja case ordered .. and I must say that I am very excited about it coming in! The three choices all look beautiful! Check them out at www.vajacases.com ... But when I am using it I am debating buying an InvisibleShield .. just waiting for the reviews!

I'm actually pretty dissapointed with my Vaja case. I was looking for a really nice and unique case, which it was for about a week. It got super dirty with just normal handling

Well, I'm done with my iFrogz Luxe. I still think that its an amazing case when it comes to protecting the iPhone from scratches. There is barely a single scratch anywhere on my iPhone 3GS. However, one of the plastic tabs (on the bottom black piece) that inserts into the top piece has broken off, and the front edges around the bezel aren't flush anymore. The case is a little off balance.

Also, I'm a bit tired of the bright blue of the case.

I would have continued using it if it didn't break, and if they sold an all-black version.

I decided to finally order the Seidio Innocase II Surface with the belt clip holster. I've been eyeing that case for a while now, but didn't want to order it until my Luxe was done. I tried it on my iPhone at a store a few weeks ago, and it fit perfectly. It looks great, and I really like the all black color. I need something more professional looking.
