Commuter

Otterbox Commuter, awesome, but tough to get on.
Will use it for a while and see how it goes. Been running, cycling and snowboarding w/ iPhone3G a lot.

The best iPhone case

I think the iphone cases that protects the entire phone are the best. I am using a Leather case for my iPhone.

Perhaps it looks a little big, but used very convenience to me. I also can use it to carry other small things. such as key, mirror, pocket money and so on. I like it so much.

iQdesign Case

I have just received my iQdesign Aluminium Case, first impressions are as follows

Excellent CNC machined aluminium case, this is precision stuff, every port and access for buttons is in perfect place.

Nice hex key to open and lock your phone in the case.

There is a clear plastic insert at the back of the case, near to the bottom - i assume this is so the case doesn't interfer with the reception. Doesn't effect the look of the case.

Still getting full 3G reception and wifi where it is available.

Overall I am very please, I will feel confident that if I drop my iPhone, there won't be any unwanted damage to it.

I'll will post a picture

iQdesign Case

i have to say i'm not really a fan of the otterbox - although it probably others good protection, it looks very ugly - my personal opinion. Think the iQdesign case offers the protection and the looks/style

Some other intersting choices though, i like the paul smith one

One of my favorite premium iphone cases from iFanatic. Personally, I think a thick silicon case would do more to prevent damage than a hard shell case, but I don’t go around dropping my phone very often. It all depends on the user and what their usage environment is like.

tha iqdesign looks like it will cause more damage then good. no rubber inside or nothing soft.. scratch city here we come!

The InCase Slider for my 3GS is pretty neat. Doesn't scratch it and protects it from random scratches.

no ihonda, its got a fabric lining on the inside - hence the protection, although the machined aluminium has been finished to such a high standard that you wouldn't get scratches on your iphone anyway.

Excellent quality case in all honesty

@hebbi thanks for suggesting the Plus Thing site. I've noticed it's plenty of knockoff of well known brands like More-Thing (namely the Ultra Slim), iSkin (the Solo FX) Ideal-Case (Ocean series) and some others :)

otter box over ivyskin

I have the Ivyskin and it is a great design... but very bad customer service if you have a problem.

Very bad customer service!!!!!:confused::mad::(

I would stick to the otter box for protection. I would stick with Ivyskin if you are a masochist.

My vote is still for the Seidio Innocase II.

I''ve had it since the beginning of October, and it still looks brand new. The belt clip that it came with has been fantastic for the gym. It has also kept my iPhone scratch-free.

Iphone 3Gs cases

I just got my iPhone 3Gs and bought iSkin solo FX SE http://www.iskin.com/solo/. Although I do like it, it is snazzy and protects it adequately, but not enough in my opinion. The headphone port is slightly obscured and as such the jack doesn't connect well. The other thing I don't like is that the lip of the case interferes with the protective screen cover and becomes detached. I ordered the Belkin Grip Vue http://store.apple.com/us/product/TY162VC/A?n=iphone2&fnode=MTY1NDA0NA&mco=MTYxNTgyMjk&s=topSellers from apple (it hasn't arrived yet) but didn't seem satisfied because I was looking for something that would still protect the phone more, have a slim profile ( I like to keep it in my pocket) and find one that would cover the ports. Low and behold, I think I found one. The iSkin revo2 http://www.iskin.com/revo2_overview.html. I am really excited about this find and am hoping I won't be disappointed when it arrives. I will have more to say about it when it does.:apple:

@bren1 I own several HydroPolymer cases (iSkin solo, SwitchEasy Vulcan, Ideal-Case Circle and Puro Plasma Cover), my first screen shield was the one provided by iSkin and only the Ideal-Case Circle used to lift it. Yesterday I've bought a PowerSupport Anti-Glare and discovered that the only case that doesn't lift the protector is the SwitchEasy Vulcan. Hope this helps :)

I've been using the Contour Hardskin and the ZAGG screen protector and have been really happy. It's a polycarbonite shell with a rubberized finish on it. The rubberiized finish helps grip and provides a little more give then just a polycarbonite shell if it falls. It's got a nice slim profile but protects every surface. I'm really impressed with how rugged but not bulky this little case is.

I have a shinorie case that is handmade and all custom. Great case.

I also have a spare brand new if anyone needs one im looking to sell it. Is the marketplace on this site completely gone? Don't want to violate forum rules but I'm sure someone might appreciate this case being it takes over a month to get from shinorie and costs $60!

PM me for details. Brand new with all accessories never used. As seen below:)

@FSBW21086 i haven't heard about the shinnorie brand before, that case looks gorgeous. thanks for the pic! :)

My Vote is for the Switcheasy Vulcan

I have tried a ton of cases on my iPhone. Since I sell them.
The Vulcan while not the price of an iSkin is the best feel of any case I've tried. I don't even want to take it off.
Even with the new Torrents arriving today.
Switcheasy has alot of followers so they are doing something right.
iSkin is what has been my bread and butter for years but the company is becoming so controlling I'm ditching them or cutting my inventory of them WAY back as soon as I sell my inventory. Idiots think they should dictate everything about how you sell the product.

Any questions feel free to email me and of course a visit to my webstore or ebay listings is appreciated.:)
