I need to find the outlet for feedback to Ford so I can tell them what I think! ;) So far, they don't reply to me on Twitter.
I can gladly say that @FordService (on Twitter) has responded to me and is taking my information.

I have found the Sync update now displays track and artist information when streaming via Bluetooth. But the part where it's supposed to resume the Bluetooth connection after an ignition cycle still doesn't work. It keeps reverting to USB or Line In.

Not relevant to the Sync discussion, but the '16 verts are now offering the GT Performance Package ... booya!

Quoting myself, re: GTPP on Convertibles :D

I love dark colors, especially metallic grays, but I've got a thing for yellow (it was one of the best things about my Z06)

Here's my BYO - '16 GT Premium convertible in Triple Yellow, 6-speed manual with the Performance Package, plus Yellow Jacket Premier interior trim:

Agreed on that. I feel like everyone on this thread should be gifted a Ferrari for going 100+ pages when a good 20 of them discuss Daewoo.

I just realized this thread had its one year anniversary back in August :)

I'm not sure I agree with CR about this. The NX is fantastic.

And this is Lexus we're talking about. They have been making probably the most reliable cars out there for over a decade.

This bold part is really key for a consumer reports review. CR is notorious for favoring reliability. They tend to favor the Japanese vehicles.

I'll reiterate my very long and drawn out poin from earlier. CR's ultimate metric seems to come down to value for money... Not so much the intrinsic quality.

Latest comparo between the sports sedans.....

Not that I really disagree with the results( what gives the C63 the win is highly subjective), but what I can't stand is these reviewers complaining about CUE, but showcasing their idiocy by keep on pressing the metal trim. The metal trim is just that, trim. If you have an issue with CUE, show the issue. Not you being an idiot and can't figure out after how many times you have with had a Caddy that the trim doesn't do anything..... CUE isn't perfect, but showing that, doesn't make me think CUE is crap. It makes you look stupid.

That C Class is nice!!!! Love the interior!!!! Can't beat a handbuilt V8

As for Cadillac.. Can't say much but they gotta do something with CUE!!!

CUE isn't perfect, but don't blame CUE if you can't figure out the metal trim pieces is just that, trim. It's not a button or a touch panel. Almost every video I see when they go and complain about CUE they show themselves hitting those trim pieces. It makes them look stupid.

Let's talk about GM's necessity to have their vehicles use reverse lights as courtesy lights.

I use a parking garage usually 1x a week now, in the past up to 3-4x/wk This particular garage is super busy. Frequently people lock their GM vehicles and the reverse lights stay on for some period of time. This leads to numerous backups because idiotic drivers think the car is backing up when indeed it is just being locked and will wait the 2 minutes for the lights to turn off.

I witnessed this happen 3x today before getting a parking spot. You've got to be kidding me.

You can turn it off in the DIC/vehicle configuration settings.

Many of you have seen my "all over the map" search for a second car in this thread. I've been talking to Ari the past few days about an MGB that's semi-local and I need to find the time to go and look at it.

In any case, I had about 15 minutes of excitement this afternoon when I drove by a local car dealer and saw a BMW Z3 roadster sitting on the corner. I went home and looked it up on their website, and then called about it. Unfortunately, it's an automatic, so thus ends my brief period of excitement about that car.

You can if you want to , I'm not messing with anybody elses DIC.

Agreed. I would not want to molest other drivers' DIC's for my own satisfaction.

Oddly, his conversations with me are mostly of a sexual nature ...
Shhhhh... the secrecy was all part of the the thrill.

You know, I saw a BMW Z4 the other day and thought to myself "I'm surprised Ben hasn't looked into these". The Z3/Z4 seems like a hybrid between the 3-Series you were very interested in and the classic British roadsters. My old boss owns an elusive Z4 hardtop, what a beautiful car! I'd buy one of those in the heartbeat if it was at all practical.

I agree, you can't buy a car like that with an automatic. If you're looking down the Z3/Z4 route, the Porsche Boxter (as ugly as I think it is) is also a strong competitor. Really though, you can't beat a Honda S2000.

I love the 2nd generation Z4 with the hardtop. It looks +fantastic+ with the roof up, and of course, terrific with it down in roadster mode :) Get one of the 35i with the DCT, or a 35is (DCT standard) and it's a flexible, fun sports car, and if you're like me, it's only a tune/intake away from ~400HP :D

Most roadsters look great with the top down, but look how this looks with the top up (and I love the idea, even if it adds additional weight, complexity and reduces trunk space) of a folding hard top:

Of course, as AG mentioned, if you're into a more "pure" roadster experience, the S2000 is hard to beat:

Replace "hard" with "impossible". They need a followup over at Honda.

My childhood best friend's dad (still my bff :)) is extremely successful and could probably afford almost anything he wanted when he had his midlife crisis in 2005. He looked at Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lotus, etc and guess what he ended up with? An S2000. He still owns it today.

He's not the kind of guy to be hung up on badges, but he is the type of guy to thoroughly research the living hell out of things obsessively and make the most reasonable decision. In other words, I trust his decision making skills when it comes to purchases.

Personally, I think the Z4 is severely underrated in terms of cars in this segment. Everyone picks the Boxster by default (justified) but the only thing worse than a BMW option list, is a Porsche option list. I wouldn't consider the TT or SLK.

Probably a good thing - nothing worse than a 15+ year old BMW - and those Z3s look horribly dated with their crappy black plastic door handles and halogen headlights...they didn't even look that great when they were new.

Now THIS is a car I am all about - an Alpine White 2011-2013 35 was the only other real contender with my 5.0 when I ordered back in early '14. I'd wanted a Z4 for years, and the retractable hardtop makes it drivable year round in the rust belt. And it's just plain gorgeous. BMW did this design right. Ultimately I wanted brand new, and didn't want to deal with BMW headaches after doing that twice prior, so after wanting one so bad for so many years, I reluctantly scrapped the idea. Didn't like paying $35k for a 2-3 year old car with 20k miles on it.

Of course, as AG mentioned, if you're into a more "pure" roadster experience, the S2000 is hard to beat:

1deb0c7e.jpg

It's also hard to beat the unfortunate reality that it's not fun to HAVE to wind it out to 9000 RPM to pull away from every stoplight, every time.
