I wonder when will Toyota also unveil the 2020 Corolla sedan. The 2019 Corolla Hatchback (which replaced the Corolla iM hatchback) has been available for a couple of months here in the USA, but not a word on the Corolla sedan. I do know the European-market wagon of the new Corolla should be on sale very soon.

After all the speculation, Seems the new Supra _finally_ has a debut date at the 2019 January Detroit Auto show. Aside from the BMW collab-project, the real question is, Does it offer a Manual or not? I imagine for some Supra enthusiasts, this is a ‘make it or beak it’ consideration.

I bet it runs a DSG. Just a hunch. Faster, better racing transmission.

Actually, There has been mentioning and a multitude of spy shots of the 2020 Corolla was captured back in mid April, and it’s been rumored that it will debut at the Geneva auto show and/or the end of this year. Its undoubtedly coming, Being one of Toyota’s best selling vehicles.

As someone who owned a 4th Gen Supra, one of the better tuned examples at the time :), I just don't have any interest in the new car.

No appeal for me in a small 2-seater, slightly underpowered, slightly overpriced and I'm not sure there's any appeal in context of the current marketspace. I mean, if this Toyota comes in at $60K, and given the price of the Z4 as a reference, it easily could, it'll be over before it starts. I just don't think there's a nearly enough market in the 400-ish HP, sports/sporty, 2-seater segment to support a $55-60K Toyota - that being said, I'm sure the BMW Z will continue to do just fine, it's a roadster and it's got way more brand cachet.

I actually just Purchased/upgraded my daily driver with the Hyundai Sonata 2.0 Turbo. (Surprisingly very quick, loaded, will have more photo’s/info later.)

[^Posted back September 5th.]

New-ish Daily Sonata 2.0 Turbo (Purchased this back in the end of August). I needed something fuel-efficient, yet still having adequate power.

A few surprising factors about this car:

To Say the least, It’s decently quick for being a four-cylinder turbo, Throaty stock exhaust, The bolstering on the seats is actually more aggressive than my Mustang and SHO. Both paddle shifters and Manual gear shift options.

The paint scheme on the car is exactly like my SHO, it’s like this ‘white frosted metallic flake’, these pictures really don’t indicate the lighting appropriately on this cloudy Fall day.

The only thing it’s missing is window tint and HID headlights, both of which I plan on upgrading here shortly. Otherwise, outstanding car.

Lastly, it’s the perfect size sedan. It’s not too big, and it’s not too small, it’s right in the middle exactly what I would want, even where I can fit all three cars in the garage.

while the car does not peak my interest. i think we'll be surprised at the market even at $60k.
[doublepost=1539649788][/doublepost]also forgot to add. gonna spend a pretty penny to repair and maintain my 2013 S6. oil separator assembly went out so i need to replace it. "only" $600 in parts, but it's mounted behind the intercooler so the whole front clip needs to come off, $1100 in labor. ugh. also, it's a few hundred miles to 50k, so i'm going to do a full service while it's in there. lastly, i wasn't planning on keeping this car, but now i think i'll just drive it for a couple more years. gonna respray the rear bumper where some idiot, rammed their shopping cart into it and i'm gonna fix all the curb rash on the wheels and powder coat them a different color while i'm at it.

I want to sell my 1982 Fiat Spider 2000. Besides local ads, a recommendation for a national publication or internet site to accomplish this? I'm also trying to determine a reasonable value for this vehicle. It runs well, the body is in good shape, top is in excellent shape, it's got a little under 50k miles on it.

Suggestions appreciated. I see https://classiccars.com/sell-my-car wants a one time $99 fee. A good deal?

Classic Cars is a good, focused market, it's probably higher cost vs. something like Autotrader, but you're getting visibility in a better market of buyers.

What about registering on a (or a few) Fiat specific forums? Those sites usually have good buy/sell areas, with knowledgeable buyers (for the brand/model) who can appreciate the extra value of something classic.

What about Bring a Trailer? I think the fee is only $25 and the buyer pays commission. It’s auction style, but you can set a reserve.

Let Me ask you this, what’s your bottom number that you would accept for a purchase price?

I have no idea if this will be applicable to your situation, but in the past I was trying sell my previous Mustang GT, [It was in perfect condition, low mileage, I was the second owner], everyone around me that was interested in the car, tried to ask me to discount the price, which I refused Being I knew exactly what it was worth at the time. I have decent connections with a dealership/performance shop in my city, they actually placed my car on a public auction site, (Which they have access to and requires a dealer code), and I had it sold in 48 hours. Just something to consider if you know anyone in the automotive industry. The only thing I had to actually pay for, was the publication fee, which I believe was $20.

Got a call from the shop. If you’re going to keep your car, you should change the control arms and bushings. Ugh.

His "bottom line" still needs a reference price range for the vehicle, and that might necessitate someone who knows the market for classic Fiat roadsters. Otherwise he could leave easy money on the table or see no interest because he's way out of the typical market pricing.

Bring a trailer. Here are some past auctions for an idea on value.

I second-or 3rd-Bring a Trailer.

It will get national exposure and attention, and will bring a price appropriate for the condition/originality of the car.

Just beware of the fact that the commenters on BAT sales tend to REALLY know their stuff, and you can be prepared to have your car picked to pieces.

The commenters are great actually and often funny as ****.

Swapped out my chrome lugs for black ones. Actually, bought a pack of 50 locking lugs for all 5 wheels including the spare. Added 10hp.

Found a ZR2 driving around my area earlier this week. It’s definitely much different seeing one in person, although at first glance, It looks like it’s missing the front bumper, it still gives it a very distinguished/unique look. I’m Also Very partial for black vehicles, nothing looks better than spotlessly clean black paint. Which if it were me, I would add some type a paint protection to that ZR2 (If you have not already).

howard forums can help for research. Use your vin# and look up at least your exact engine/transmission type. There are 2 or 4 "Blue Book" sites and go to several of these to get an average value. Finally look through local listings for price. Is there a auto forum associated with british cars. Is there a local british repair shop and or car club in your area.

call your state DMV to get a figure how to sell your vehicle. Have a printout of the tile.
be super security conscious out there; there are lots of scam situations. put insurance on the vehicle while your selling it. Insist to meet up at a bank or something to exchange paper work. Have a bill of sale printed out both parties sign. Insist on CASH.

hope this helps.

the corners of both the front and rear bumper are clipped on the ZR2 supposedly to increase approach and departure angles. so the ZR2 has no fog lights on the front and no step on the back. for me, it's moot as I replaced both bumpers anyway. :D and no paint protection yet. we off road a little, so I'm debating on just letting it get scratched up for character or maybe doing a full satin clear bra and just go full murder.

I was looking at classiccars.com and the prices ranged from $7-27k, on an early 80s Fiat Spider, of course those were asking prices. The bulk seems to be around $10k, but I’ll check out the sites suggested. Thanks all, I’ll report back with progress or more questions. :p

Fiats are Italian, I think both countries would be offended by calling it English :p
