The new Bronco looks seriously capable.New footage of the Bronco in action. Looks real good.

I’ve spent more time than I probably should have in the Moab area, mostly mountainbiking, but also crawling around in my old Jeep XJ.
Whichever mode you choose, that area is truly a playground for adults.
We used to make aftermarket differential covers for Land Rovers. They were made from 12mm thick steel. They’d survive a nuclear blast I recon. They were a real pain to make.Absolutely, if you've never done any rock crawling like that, you know what separates the grocery getters from the real offroaders
Don’t they do a hard top you can remove for summer? Might be a better compromise.Anyone ever have a Jeep Wrangler with the soft top? Wondering what the experience is with a soft top in northern states or Canada with the winter weather.
Yes. But storage may be problematic for me with a hardtop.Don’t they do a hard top you can remove for summer? Might be a better compromise.
There is that.Yes. But storage may be problematic for me with a hardtop.

I don't see removal and replacement as an issue for me. My curiosity is about, as you said, insulation, during the winter months. I was wondering if anyone in cold climates ever go with the soft top all year around and how that worked out for them. It's easy to remove and store, but doesn't provide much insulation. Folks I know who own Jeeps in areas that get cold (and use them year round), switch over (or only own) to a hardtop.
I live in an apartment and have no garage.Garage? A top hoist is pretty inexpensive and is both a device to assist with removal and "storage" (assuming you've got clearance, it doesn't need a ton like a lift).
How much longer do you anticipate that will take?I'm seriously going through withdrawals now, though, as I await my current rebuild getting finished.
It started in the 60's so its not quite finished yet! Its like painting the golden gate bridge. When you start at one end, by the time you get to the other end its time to start again. How much longer do you anticipate that will take?
Fingers crossed for you. Any plans for a special trip when its back?I'd hoped it would be done by the end of last week, but alas that didn't happen.
I've seen the progress with my own eyes. Everything to finish it is in the shop-it's just the time to put it back together.
Orange-yellow, right?
New 1,000 HP M5 due in a few years apparently. Electric. I could per persuaded into EV provided they have that kind of power with impeccable range. Should be a nice grocery getting, weekend sprinter, mad man machine...
