I personally love mine, after 15 years of being and exclusive BMW owner I can say the quality my Tesla 3 is comparable, only with more brains. When you look at how many of them are out there we're going to see some issues but nothing worse than any other car, it's just that Tesla has a target on their backs all the time.
May I ask which BMW's have you owned that you are comparing the TM3 to?
IMO if one hasn't spent time driving or owning one their opinions don't carry a lot of weight, same can be said for any car really.
IMO Reason why someone is not getting a certain car after they have seriously looked into it on several occasions are just as interesting. Clearly our opinions differ which is fine.

Well said. We’d all be better off if we just focus on sharing our thoughts than spending time explaining why the opinion of others may not be valid.

My latest was BMW was a 2020 528i, excellent car, the only complaint I had were how poorly it read the lines and kept the lane. For comparison, I would take the same drive from point A to point B in the BMW and it would lose the lane maybe 1/3 of the time, in the Tesla it's never lost them once in the two months that I've owned it and keeps it centered perfectly. Keeping in mind I make this same drive all the time so I have a true apples to apples comparison.

The Model 3 Tesla is comparable in comfort but has far better electronics and brains.

It's one thing to research and not buy, it's another to go on a full out crusade against it. Yes, we have different opinions.

You won’t hear an argument from me that Tesla has got way better aids than most to help you avoid driving yourself. That is never an argument I put against it.

But surely you notice and agree that the body panels, hinges, paint finish, interior plastics, fabrics and leather are way better in that BMW? That is what I meant by build quality.

I don’t think we have that different opinion then. I don’t go on a full out crusade against it. I researched, researched again, and researched again and still don’t think it’s up to the required standard. Definitely seeing some improvement on fit and finish from the china build models, but material choice is still lacking compare to the competition in my opinion.

The new BMW 4 series gran coupe lift back is attractive and practical. The straight 6 version comes with a "48V mild hybrid", which helps smooth the auto stop start and improve gas mileage, but I would rather have the 4 cylinder if it came with that feature. 382 horsepower just seems like too much power for this vehicle.

Well today is a special 2 day :)

I’ve sold our BMW M2 Competition and it will be replace by a Polestar 2. The Polestar will have 2 engines, and be on a 22 number plate (in the UK they become active from March). So two cars and two changes on the 22 of the second month in 2022.

Damn that is a lot of 2s. It’s mind boggling and just 2 much 🤪 for me 🤣

Bye bye BMW M2 Competition. It was picked up this morning. Sold it to SellCar again; third time I’ve used them and they are always pretty good for more special and performance orientated vehicles. Easy pickup, no hassle, instant money transfer and title transfer.

Tot ziens, au revoir, I’ll miss you 😢

Yeah it’s a lovely drive. I owned a 2013 VW Passat Highline a few years ago and it was a similar car and feel.

Driving a 2013 Passat as the family car for a few years already. In Canada the Jetta for some reason is the most popular VW model and I got the Passat for little money used (not a Highline of course).

Here's a picture of what my new BMW i3 will look like. View attachment 1966268

Nice! Just sold my 2015 i3. Will miss the little pod-car.

Posted a full write-up along with pictures of its replacement Mach-E in the Pictures of your car 2022 thread. I really wanted to replace our 2015 i3 with a 2019, but it just didn't financially make sense with a 3-year-old used i3 at the same price as a brand new Mach-E.

One of the reasons I went new rather than second hand this time was the price difference was not that great. Plus this way I get the full warranty etc.

I actually like my 2016 Scion iM now. Only one huge downside: the terrible headlights. I'm wonder (again!) should I get a Vosla HiR2 +120 bulb or an LED bulb that replaces the HiR2 bulb to improve night visibility.

Heard my delivery for April is more like June July now. Apparently the wiring looms were made in the Ukraine. ☹️
And sadly July will become October :(

Yup Ukraine is a big provider of automotive electrical rubber sleeves (I think I've got that correct), a lot of the charging cables for BEV are made in Ukraine.
