After all of the posts that have links to Audiko, it amazes me how many people are asking for others to post around certain themes, shows, etc. when they're almost always available from Audiko. For example:

Wall-E

http://audiko.net/search?q=wall-e

There's 5 pages of Wall-E tones. ;)

Ok so maybe I'm doing something wrong here but I can't figure out how to make these work as my alert tones. When I download a file from this thread and open it up it automatically appears in my itunes, and from there I am able to drag it over to my phone and it shows up there.

The problem is that all the files I download show up in the ringtone section on my phone instead of the alert section, and when I assign them to anything other than the ringtone they don't play when I receive an alert, only when I preview them in settings.

Immature but hilarious when your phone unexpectedly farts for a text message. Especially in the queue at the supermarket. :D

Dukes of Hazzard Dixie horn. I don't actually use it as my text tone, but I keep it on my phone for a good laugh every now and then :D

ringtones are used as alerts, they are one in the same when you go to select an alert you just pick one of the ringtones you have synced over.

I grabbed mp3's of Doofenschmirtz Evil, Inc. jingle and Perry the Platypus' growl, and m4r'd them.

Download the zipped files that you like. Open them and run them in iTunes. They should be put under the ringtones section of iTunes. Make sure you tell your iTunes to sync ringtones with the iPhone under the ringtones tab. Then just sync the device and they will show up under ringtones.

Worked flawlessly the first time for me.

To add to this:

If you're set to 'manually manage music and videos', you'll need to drag the ringtones to your device in iTunes rather than syncing the ringtones tab.

Find the 'ringtones' tab in iTunes. Make sure it you've either checked all or it's set to only sync certain ones and those are checked. Then all you need to do is hit sync. If you want them on your iPhone, (and 'manually manage music and videos' is enabled) you can just drag them to your iPhone from within iTunes.

Here's a couple I just found on Google. They are MP3's so you'll need to convert them to M4R's.

Can anyone make a pack of four or five generic text tones for the business crowd?

I love these video game sounds but I need something professional similar to the CEO Ringtones or Business "Style" ringtones you can purchase on iTunes.

Also something very short, 2 seconds, i never understood why all of Apple's text tones are so long. When I get a text I want the sound to be loud, easy to hear, and short in length. I am sure there are tons of people who are looking for the same thing.

If anyone could help Im tired of using the "Glass" and "Ding" and "Tweet" sounds for my texts

There was one I had a long time ago on my old Motorola V120T that was a sort of old 8 bit game sounding tone that they would play when you got into an eerie situation. The ringtone was called uh-oh I believe. I still have my old phone and I was going to play the ringtone and record it with voce recording on my iphone and convert that to a ringtone, but I cannot find the charger for it.

Anyone know the ringtone I am talking about, or have something similar? :)

Are those files on Audiko free? I don't want to be charged a fee

I downloaded a few of them no problem. Never was prompted for any kind of payment. It was pretty straightforward, just make sure to click "Get iPhone Ringtone"... not the links in red that mention they are ads.
