So I am east coast US, I guess AT&T has "enabled" the MMS feature on their end, but Apple has of yet to post the update in iTunes? Is this where we currently stand? Not that MMS is really a big deal to me...just curious.
MMS just started working for me in Atlanta, GA.
iPhone 3G, OS 3.1.

This thread is pretty pointless if the only news you wanna hear in it is when the carrier file is released in iTunes! Everyone will get that at the same time and it will be posted on the front page causing this thread to be pointless!

What carrier file should we be on for MMS to work? Im running at&t 5.0 ( which i thought was the mms capable file ) and it still isnt working. Im also running 3.1 ( 7C144 )
somebody who has it working can you post on here what all of your cellular data network info is... settings>general>network>cellular data network
Am I the only person who doesn't have "Cellular Data Network" as an option under Network settings?
I've got a virgin 3GS (not jailbroken), OS 3.1.![]()
You need to have the 5.0 or 5.1 carrier file installed to get those options.
Could you add something here to the original post:
1. What "we" have to do to enable MMS, i.e., connect to iTunes, download update, etc.
2. What ATT does to enable MMS and how we are made aware of it?
Descriptions like "it started working in my area" leave me a little confused. What does that mean, and what exactly did you do or see to know this?
