I downloaded ... installed.. rebooted and still get the "!" when tried to send a picture.

yeah itunes just told me to download the carrier file so i did so it said it was successfully updated but when i went into messaging to send a pic there is not camera icon like what their should be

I've been checking iTunes all morning; just checked again and it said there was a carrier update, which it installed in about 1 second. Didn't receive a text notification first either, fyi.

i didnt get a text message. but i was able to upgrade to carrier 5.5.

im in miami Florida.

had to restart phone in order to get mms.

Restarted my phone, too. But it works now...

Seems like you'll need 3.1 for MMS. I'll prefer jailbreak over MMS.

so the new 5.5 carrier file takes away the network settings...cant see them anymore

so i installed the 5.1 and i can see them again.
