Not crappy at all. I have a stainless link band that looks just like the apple one, 3 leather loops, a Milanese loop, and a sport band. They're all high quality and a fraction of the cost. At this point I wouldn't buy a genuine Apple band.

Looks pretty good. Same feel?

I don't have any black ones, but here is the red leather loop I'm currently wearing.

I have a red LL as well, and it looks pretty spectacular. Mine came from the eBay lnkoo888 seller.

I did not like the sport band knockoff I got. It had no seams or overhang but was thinner (the fit was a little looser consequently) than OEM and a lint magnet. The silicone by the lug area quickly rubbed off too. I bought an Apple one to replace it-- you really do get what you pay for and for me, the price was worth it. I've also read enough horror stories about people's knockoff ML and link bands breaking, with their watches falling off, that I've decided against trying those. It may be a small number of people affected, but I'd be mad at myself if I had to shell out a lot of money on a watch repair.

hows the magnet on these?

We just got a sport strap off amazon. Looks identical to what Apple offers. In your hand it's a little thinner, but it also feels the same on the wrist. It was $11 versus $50. My wife is the one that uses it an is more than happy with it. She bought the "fog" color.

EDIT: Here is the link to the one we bought. It was actually $11.88. Close enough haha.

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with cheap knock off 3rd party straps on ebay? I'm looking to get a steel band, a leather loop and a sport strap. How crappy are they?

I've got a few different straps. I'll say Moko sport bands are decent. Difference is they seem to get dustier easier, and the material feels slightly different. $15 on Amazon.

Steel bands are an easy buy, because there are tons of options if you get a $7 pair of adapters, and even some options that come with them already installed.

Moko Milanese bands are also great. I have one.

Leather loops, I don't know about.

Some are good, and some are not. There is a watch accessory forum with lots of examples. I have more than a dozen knock-off bands from a few different sources. I would rate them all very high. Here is a link to the post where I list them.

How long have you had the leather loops and how are they holding up? I've read reviews and this is the one knockoff band that seems to not hold up as good as original.

Did you ever find one. All I want is a simple quality black leather band and am really struggling to find one. :(

I gave up on finding one, because I have traditional dress watches, sport watches, etc and they usually look better than a dressed up Apple Watch.
I just wear the apple watch face down on my right wrist when the occasion calls for a better watch.

These are silicone that OI posted. For some reason my post was merged with this thread, perhaps adding to some confusion. All we have is silicone.

Has anyone got an ml from this seller? Wondering 2 things: if the magnet is strong and if the strap falls through the end or it were to slip if it would get caught in the end

Finally decided to roll the dice on some leather loop replicas. There doesn't seem to be one perfect replica seller. For anybody on the forum who's said theirs is great, I end up finding multiple people, who bought from the same seller, saying otherwise, so it's a gamble.

Hi guys,
I have a space grey apple watch and my friend present me a OEM milanese loop.
I want another band but I didn't find anything that I like.
I saw original apple link band but 619,00 euro it's impossible  then I saw 3rd party link bracelet on amazon... so I'm here to ask you what's the best link bracelet 3rd or 4th gen.
If it's possible black matte color :)
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english

I think one of your adaptors may be upside down (the one at the bottom edge).

Also every time I see your watch face that cnn top story complication annoys me how it doesn't even show a whole sentence! How can that be useful?

Really? I'll take a look.

I think of the modular face as my informative face. Usually when I'm doing a lot of work, I'll use it. It's nice to know if anything big is going on, just by looking at the face. A brief sentence is enough to let me know if I care to find out more or not.

The headline there is a perfect example. I really don't care if a Russian jet got within 15 feet of what I assumed to be another ship in airspace, but at least I know what's going on.

There was a headline, several hours ago, about 3 Americans being killed somewhere. That was enough info to make me want to tap and see the real story.

A little off topic but I just think they could either condense the headline properly to fit or maybe make use of time travel to show the rest of the story or something. "Russian and US fighters in near miss", that kind of thing.

why aren't there gathered in a link all the "good/trusted" sellers from ebay-amazon of all the famous bands? i mean most of the people have already tried a lot of them and they know from they experience which one is good and which aint. also would help also the new owners of apple watch not to search 110+ pages topic and just to have to take a look on a specific post

Because if 10 people ordered the same band from the same seller, 4 of them will love it, and 4 will tell you never to buy from that seller. If you read through all 110+ pages, you'll see there is absolutely no consensus whatsoever.

I'm about to purchase this band for my SS watch, either in brown or light brown (currently undecided):

http://www.hirschag.com/en/hirsch-bracelet-assortment/#/191

Having the 38mm i have to choose a size depending on which adaptors I buy - 20mm for the springbar type or 22mm for the "classic" type, so I need to decide that first.

Does anyone have strong opinions either way about which type of adapter it would look better on, or even better pictures of a similar band on either/both types?

I prefer the spring bar w/the 20mm. Using this has the band fitting closer to the watch itself. I just prefer this look.

i was thinking the same but i worry the band will begin to look a bit dainty because its thinner.
