I wouldn't pay more than $20 for an adapter. These guys are buying them from China for $12.

There should still be some adapters or bands with adapters still available on Amazon or Ebay for under $20.

Unless they are raising there prices because we are buying more!

Just searched Amazon and there aren't too many US sellers left with reasonable prices. This one is not bad. http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Kolle...9243&sr=1-695&keywords=42+mm+apple+watch+band

Ebay

I just ordered the one from eBay - what type of screwdriver do I need? I'm going to go to the local jewelry store because I will need links removed to get a bracelet - would they have the screwdriver necessary or do I need a special one?

Cheers,
Bobbie

I just bought a ripped off leather loop for £22.50!
http://ebay.eu/1KCfks8

Seller also does sports bands: http://ebay.eu/1IuPWXZ

I just used paypal, and AMEX to pay so if they're sucky i'll get a refund pretty quickly

Those ripoff leather loops look promising, only thing is the seller didn't specify the size. I only fit the medium leather loop from apple, the large is too big.

Let us know how it is when it arrives. :)

There's a U.S. Seller on eBay selling leather bands with adapter for $20 shipped. That's the cheapest, fastest way I've seen so far to get an adapter.

I can confirm that the adapter will not fit the pebble steel SS band because the hole is too small.

I did purchase the SS band with the link below and can confirm that it does fit! Looks extremely shiny and amazing. Lots of heft too!

Now the wait for June!

I know that at the moment SwitchEasy is working on some cool Bands for the Watch. As soon as I get some prototypes, I'll be happy to post if I get the green light for it. :D I'm still waiting for some other cases and my second Apple Band to be shipped. I got the Pink one, although I would REALLY love it if they had it in red which they're probably saving for their "RED" Campaign.

Also, did anyone get the email from Lunatik's Kickstarter? Sadly is only for 42mm Watches so us 38mm adopters kind of lucked out on this one.

Ordered the same as you - here's hoping they're decent! (Not holding out much hope, mind)

Ended up ordering one of those and a silicone strap as well:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...ition-Bracelet-Strip/1342080_32342071169.html

Came out to $40 with the seller having a $4 coupon of orders over $41.

Please post pictures of the silicone straps when you guys get them! What colors did you order? I love the blue but I'm afraid the color won't be the same as pictured...

Anyone know what the maximum width is for the 38mm connector? I've heard 22mm wide straps but want to make sure.

Thanks

Just wanted to update everyone, I ordered an adapter from this guy yesterday on eBay.. Amazingly it arrived today (less than 24 hr turn around).

It fits perfectly and comes with the proper tool to install bands. Overall very satisfied.

could u tell me if the pin is exact like picture where splits in half or is like a regular watch pin with springs on each end?

Thanks for this - let me know how it is once you get it! I just ordered mine as well. I stay in India so hoping to get it within the week.

I was looking at these with great scrutiny. A few things to note.

1. If you look further down at the pictures the mechanical parts of the band that attach to the watch namely the three black pieces are missing in the pictures. That is bad news! If they are missing in the picture there is no recourse if they are sent without it as the seller has not expressly stated otherwise. Quite simply it looks like an incomplete band that is missing critical parts that "snap" it securely to your watch when you side it into place.

2. The seller has had A LOT of negative feedback in the last month including items not received.

3. Several of the negative feedbacks were for concerns similar to my first point, incomplete items.

They all do this, even Apple's.

The ones I have received have worked pretty well. One the screw backed itself out. I think the problem is taking them on and off again. That;s why I bought a bunch so I can put them on a band and leave them there.

None that I have received are missing the black parts.

Thats good to hear. I am not sure I was clear. I was referring to the the post quoted earlier about the eBay knock off leather loop bands. Are you saying you ordered one of those and already got one and it was not missing the pieces like the picture below?

I believe the non knock off ones have something there. At least my sport band does.

Oh well. I'd rather not worry about it now and just wait to see what I get in the package and keep my fingers crossed. Will post reports once I receive the package hopefully later this week! :)
