I just picked up a new 13" MBA for my wife as a Christmas present, our first MacBook. It's all I can do to keep from firing that puppy up. Honestly, I don't think I can wait 10 more days to play with it.

Sounds like you bought yourself an Air and are disguising it as your wife's gift. LOL

Congrats and happy holidays.

Ordered a Refurb 13 inch MBA after canceling an order for the new imac. Decided I would get more utility out of the portable device at half the price.

Just grabbed a base model 13". Had the retina 13" for a while but took it back and grabbed a mini and the MBA. I will be using it to create training agendas and Adobe Lightroom. Should be great for a few years.

My new refurb 13 inch just arrived. Pristine condition. Came with 8 GB RAM even though I only paid for 4 GB. Stoked!

Ordered the 13" i5, 8GB, 128GB SSD Air today!!

My (first) MacBook, of just over 4 years, isn't charging up anymore and I'm not willing to pay for repairs as I have already payed £362 recently for a logic board replacement!

Looking forward to receiving my new MacBook Air! I have an estimated delivery of 28th December - 3rd January.

Well, kinda ;) I finally got to get into this thing. I've been playing for hours now under the guise of setting it up for her, what a remarkable machine! Amazing even. We have a 2008 iMac that is a workhorse and has been serving us well all these years, still is. This tiny little unit can run circles around it, a very nice experience so far.

On Black Friday, I ordered a 13 inch Air with 256 gigs of storage and 8 gigs of RAM. Saved $100 on Apple's website, so I basically got a free RAM upgrade. Really digging the Air so far. I like the security of SSD compared to a spinning drive. My 2007 Macbook hard drive crashed less than a year after I bought it. I am also impressed with the speed of it. iTunes and Firefox both open much faster than they did on my old Macbook or my current iMac (2010 model with hard drive).

I posted earlier this week. My Air (13" i5, 8GB, 128GB) is due to arrive today! So excited! I hope there is nothing wrong with it (dead pixels, dents etc).

Waiting patiently for the delivery van to appear in my street!! Can't wait to unbox this beauty! Visited my local Apple store to use the machine and it's amazing!

Will probably post in here again with my thoughts once I take delivery.

There is news that the MBA is probably going to get a CPU upgrade and a retina screen coming june.

How many of you are thinking of returning their units and wait for it?

My 2011 11" 2/64 gb just arrived in the mail and I LOVE it. No dents or scratches on the machine, I love "refurbished" products!

NOT ME!!

I love this machine! I knew there gonna get updated in June. I was going to upgrade then but since my old MacBook died I just got this one.

No regrets. Runs like a dream.

FINALLY ordered 13-inch i7 256GB 8GB MBA

I have been going back and forth over getting this computer basically since it came out last summer.

I'll be upgrading from a 2009 13-inch MBP. That was my first mac and it has been the best laptop i've owned thus far. But the battery now says it needs to be serviced and i've recently started doing some slightly more computationally demanding work at lab so I figured I didn't want to struggle through with this computer until summer only to have the 2013 MBAs be a letdown.

I find the 8GB Ram and the 256 SSD upgrades mildly overpriced but I got this from the refurb section along with the i7 for 1449 so I feel a little less guilty.

I know I will probably have a brief moment of regret when the haswell models come out this summer but at least based on what i've read thus far the 2012 MBAs fit all my needs :)

Finally upgrading from my early 2008 MacBook Pro 2.4ghz core 2 duo with 2 gb ram. I was able to snag a refurb 13" Air with the i7, 256ssd and 8gb of ram. This thing should scream compared to my older Mac.

Question for you MBA users: Did any of you switch from a 15" MacBook Pro? Or any MacBook Pro for that matter. I currently have an early 2011 15" MacBook Pro and I'm considering downgrading (or upgrading) to a base model mid 2012 13" MBA. Mainly for the size/weight. My MBP is a bit overkill for what I need right now, so the downgrade in terms of power is not an issue. Thoughts?

Just purchased my 11.6" MBA (finally!) to replace my 13" MBP, along with a Mini as well...both base models, specs in sig.

Ordered a 120GB OWC Extreme 6G SSD and data doubler for the mini. Will likely also upgrade the SSD in the Air to one of the OWC Aura's at some point as well, and do an 8GB or 16GB ram upgrade on the mini :)

Loving the Air so far...way snappier than my 13" Pro, even with both having a fresh install. SSD makes a huge difference! Awesome little machine for sure.

Ordered an MBA 13" i5 / 8GB / 128GB SSD yesterday! Will be delivered in one and a half weeks. That should be easy considering I've been lusting over this for four months but I'm so excited!!! :D

EDIT: It's here a week early! Only took 5 business days. Got a Samsung display and SSD. I'm in love.

Macbook Air

Longtime browser, first time poster here. I've been wanting a Macbook of some sort for years, finally took the plunge last night - a Macbook Air 11-inch refurb - i5, 4 gigs of memory and 128-gig SSD - which I should receive by mid-week if the Apple Store's estimate is correct. Very excited.
