The "I just bought/ordered/got/shipped my new/refurb MBA" thread, [Merged]

urgh, still hasn't left China yet.

Going to be here in London on Thursday end of the day apparently.

This is killing me! Haha. Wonder if they all go to Nashville next or if they start heading to final destinations from there?

Still have my fingers crossed that mine makes it to me in LA tomorrow but its looking more and more like Thursday.
 
Mine finally showed up a couple hours ago and i've been setting it up and playing around :)

Only thing I've noticed is I've got the screen brightness at minimum and bluetooth off, wifi on, only getting about 9 hours predicted, nowhere near the 12 Apple mentioned for light web browsing or 15 some people are reporting.

On the 13, only upgrade I have is RAM.

I'd give it a power cycle or two to dial in the calibration on the battery projection. Wish mine was here to compare...haha

Hi,

I posted earlier that I thought you were correct for mine anyway:) Shortly after that flight landed in Memphis, my tracking changed to that location (11:07 MDT). It's showing departed and in transit, but still that location now....

Thanks, I'll keep you posted :) Although Apple claims they come pre-calibrated... Sorry yours isn't around to compare! I literally ordered mine before the WWDC keynote even ended, when the Apple store came back on at 8PM UK time.

In "About this Mac", it says "kHW_IntelHD5000Item" under graphics on my new 2013 MBA :confused::eek:

Also, the menu bar disappears sometimes, but gets back when I click the desktop... A buggy 10.8.4 they've put on ?? Doesn't happen on my 2008 MBP.

Had the menu bar disappearing on mine as well I did a reboot and everything was fixed.
 
Update on my 13 i5/8Gb/256gb, prep'd for shipment. Somehow expected delivery is potentially friday to Melbourne, Australia...???

Does anybody think that's a possibility?

Otherwise Monday or Tuesday it is :(
 
I just ordered MBA 13' i5/8GB/256 via apple store online.

I called my local apple store (australia) to check if they stock the above variant and the answer is 'no'. They only stock the ones advertised even if the above variant is a common customization.

How did you guys get the customized MBA from apple store?
 
You can't unless you order it online and have it shipped to the store.

Haha I also learnt this the hard way!! Least shipping hopefully won't take too long. Mine is almost here!

Morning,

Ordered my MBA, online on the 14th June. Destination London.

Step below "The Ultimate". 13" i5/8gb/512. More than meets my needs for daily regular computing.

UPS showing its arrived Hong Kong and showing delivery end of day Thursday, 20 June. Everything crossed.

First time owning a Mac. Almighty switch from Windows and series of Vaios.

Last one got stolen last November so decided to make the jump since I already own an Ipad 2 64gb,Iphone 4s 64 GB (RIP: STOLEN, Thieving No Life ****ARDS) Iphone 5 64gb, and a couple of ipod classics.

Eyes have gone sore reading everything i can find online here and on other sites.

Getting it with Parallels 8 which has already been delivered.

Actually initially ordered a BTO 2012 13" i5/8gb/256 on the 3rd of june which was delivered on the 11th june and have been using that since.

When I found out the the new MBAs had been released called to return it and re ordered the new one however had to pay for the new build MBA 13 and wait for a refund post return.

Cant wait.

I ordered the same on the 17th. Destination Oxford.
Still no sign of leaving where ever it's being built. Says scheduled delivery is 25th-27th which would do me fine :) I think my new sleeve case will get here first though.

Should be a decent step up from my white 2010 MB.
 
Was in Anchorage last night. Over night it went to Memphis and is now on its way to JFK in New York.

I live in New York. Maybe it will actually come a day early!

I ordered the LArobe Sleeve for MacBook Air 13 inch - Black + Wasabi, from Amazon Uk, it's arrived, had good review @ £17 so went for it.

I'm fine with it, feels good and serves it purpose.

Loving this 2012 MBA 13' 8gb 256. she goes back friday though just in time to welcome home my new 2013 baby.

Have you had previous MacBooks and how did u decide on what configuration to get ?
