Lol stop copying my orders puma!!

yes I'm sure you'll be happy with the case.

Loving this 2012 MBA 13' 8gb 256. she goes back friday though just in time to welcome home my new 2013 baby.

Have you had previous MacBooks and how did u decide on what configuration to get ?
:D
Yeah this will be my 3rd MB.
I had a white one in 2006 or so. Kept that until 2010 and bought my current one and now I'm selling that (for the same price I laid out for it - half the money came from the previous sale) and now it's time for an Air.

I just got a long long overdue pay rise which is back paid for a year so this was first on my shopping list (upgrading my iPad1 to the new one when it comes out too). Like you the spec suits what I need it for. It's not for anything heavy, just mail, web, music, other simple stuff so I wanted HD space primarily. The RAM update is a simple and cheap speed increase without needing to rob the battery or generate more heat by going i7. I also work for the university so we get the education discount (something like 15%) which all helps it along. Suits me down to the ground :)

Was supposed to be here today, apparently now delayed due to weather.

Has had it's departure scan from Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong a couple of hours ago, but I'm guessing it will still take a few days :(

My MBA was scheduled for delivery tomorrow, but it's at the sort facility as of 5:20AM this morning so it looks like I'm going to get it a day early... Tomorrow would have been better as there would have been someone home, but I think I can work something out and I guess getting it early isn't so bad. :D

Yes @deviance. got this weather notification and its totally unacceptable!!

Lol the wait has now become intolerable cruelty.

Definitely have to keep the MBA I'm returning as hostage till I get the new 2013 MBA safely in my arms!!

Haha I also learnt this the hard way!! Least shipping hopefully won't take too long. Mine is almost here!

Did yours ship from China as well?

It's been more than 24 hours and it's still under processing. Not even shipped yet!!

Gosh. The 8GB RAM better be worth the wait. :)

Lol who's buying the 2010 Macbook @ the same price u paid, not the Uni I hope!!

Well done on the pay rise. U can never have enough of pay rises!!

Only concern now is having finally succumbed to being totally reliant on the Apple Empire.......

Mine arrived a couple of hours ago on it's scheduled delivery date :) I'm typing this on my brand new MBA actually! Was a bit concerned about screen size being an issue but I need the 11" for portability, eyes are just starting to adjust and I'm pleased to report that the screen size doesn't bother me at all! Though it's a bit of a transition when I'm working on my iMac 21.5" dual monitor set up onto this little thing!
Battery life predictions are astounding me, on heavy usage and at full brightness (Photshop, Illustrator, Time Machine & Safari) I was getting an expected 4h49 min battery life which was pretty cool I thought. Back down to just safari browsing now and it's working it's way back up to 9 hours.
Love it :D

Selling it at work. Loads of students here so it's an easy sell.

With an educational discount the old one was £700. I'd got £350 for my previous MB and so it only cost me £350 to buy it. I should be able to sell it on again for at least £350 (they're 400-450 on ebay but I'm happy to sell it for less to get rid) so it won't have cost me anything :D

Haha patience my friend I know how you feel. Yeap my was 'preparing for shipment' for about 10 hours and then thank god it began shipping from Shanghai. It's been at Pudong airport for a few hours now...
Given the time frame I'm doubtful it'll arrive in Melbourne by Friday :(

And to think some people got theirs 2-3 days early!!

I know this is a total first world problem but this is what Apple does to me. Makes me think totally irrationally about their products #

I finally did it! Just ordered the MBA 11/i5/8/256. Paid the extra $14 for quicker shipping, estimated to arrive anywhere between June 21-25. I've waited so long to do this, and it feels great. (Though small, it will be my only computer. Been using an 11 inch Dell Inspiron 1121 for the past couple years and anything larger now feels much too big.) After enjoying my iPhone and iPad for quite some time now, this move to the MBA just seems right. Hello OS X.

It has shipped! Scheduled delivery on Monday, June 24. So I'll have to wait through the entire weekend. :(

I've had to wait a damn week!

LOL. Just like Mikeyde1989 said above, it's surely a first world problem. Too many others around the globe have much more genuine concerns and we're bellyaching about the slow delivery of our high tech gadgets!

Enjoy! Mine is still crawling it's way from Oakland to LA

Thanks! You too! Which model did you go for?

Mine was sitting at customs in China for 4 days! Got to Alaska last night and over night made it here to New York. Now it's on its way a day early! Pretty crazy.

Mine is "Out for Delivery", two days earlier than the estimated June 21 date! Very excited! Ordered June 12, a day after the WWDC.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw that UPS was the chosen courier for Canada orders (in my case, anyway). I got so used to having FEDEX deliver my Apple Products to my doorstep. I had bad experience with UPS before, albeit not from an Apple purchase. This experience might changed my view of that company a bit.

I'm pretty sure ours were in the same batch through Alaska. Mine was held up in China for days too. I was shocked this morning that it made it to the vehicle for delivery here in LA when it was still heading down from Oakland when I woke up.

OMG my MBA is being shipped around to random locations in Asia, it appears!

Shanghai, China > Incheon, S. Korea > Hong Kong

Makes no sense. Hope they get it sorted out soon...
