My 11" i5/4/256 shipped this morning! Should be here on Monday!

I'm typing this now from the new i7/8/256, but as a secondary computer, for me, I think I'd rather have the base model. Better battery, cooler, and less to worry about when traveling.

But I'll make the final decision of which one I'm keeping on Monday.

Just like to add I got the 13"/i5/256GB the first day it was at retail last Wednesday, and although I'm gonna return it next week due to have decided I really want the retina Macbook Pro whenever it refreshes, I must say I really like the Air (other then the screen). Working all day long with the battery life like this really is special. You can just keep working this machine and it just keeps going... and going...and going.

Really impressive stuff!

I just decided to get the 11" 8/267/i7 rather than the 13" 8/256/i7 - which is arriving in a day or WTO. So that's another two weeks of wait. Figured out I'll manage the lower res but love the form factor.... Hopefully I wont regret it - and that the wait will be worth it!

I got an email to say my MBA has shipped but it's not shipping form China. It's shipping from Prague?! And the shipment date is 19th June and I only got the notification today?

It's heading for Genova now. Is this going to travel half-the-globe to reach Australia?

This is weird.

20 Jun 2013 10:16:11 Nuernberg Hub Shipment Rerouted. Recovery Actions Underway.
20 Jun 2013 10:15:34 Nuernberg Hub Shipment In Transit.
20 Jun 2013 02:37:10 Nuernberg Hub Shipment Received At Tnt Location
19 Jun 2013 23:31:00 Prague Shipment In Transit.
19 Jun 2013 21:43:25 Prague Shipment In Transit.
19 Jun 2013 21:38:35 Prague Shipment Received At Origin Depot.
19 Jun 2013 15:44:32 Prague Shipment Collected From Customer

Edit: Called Apple Australia up and they are shocked by this too. Apparently this is for another shipment. This shipment is not yet completed. Although couriers typically recycle tracking numbers, the terms Apple have with their couriers is that recycled numbers must have at least 6 months refresh period. So the tech I spoke with will check and ensure the issue is resolve by morning.

Cheers.

I had exactly the same issue with TNT. They recycled a consignment number for me. Got my shipping notification and it was for someone else's delivery a few weeks ago within Europe. After calling Apple my new order had been reflected in TNT's system within about 15 minutes. Apparently this happens alot!

maybe a dumb question but is there a way to track the shipping to an Apple store?

the order processing is telling me it shipped out monday and it'll be ready for pickup on 6/24 but i'm not very patient and am hoping to pick it up this weekend :/

The shipping info is a bit poor, they should keep us updated. All I know is, at some point, a Mac left somewhere. I have no idea where it is now.

Just went to the Apple Store and bought a 13-inch i5/4/128.

It's pretty nice, especially since I'm upgrading from a 2008 unibody MacBook. :D

Yay!!! Ordered my first Mac ever. I build/fix PC's for a living and have spent the last 2 weeks looking at every option available for a notebook. No PC laptop is even in the same league in terms of quality/weight/battery.

i5/8/256

Estimate is 2 weeks for delivery to Alberta :(

Hi, where did you order it? Mine came from China to Lake Louise in just a few days.... Could they be flying faster off the factory shelves this week, so to speak? :)

New 2013 Air 13" 256GB

Purchased 2013 Air 13" 256g yesterday and took 2-3 hours to down load my Time Machine backup of my 2009 13" Macbook Pro and the Air works 100%.

This would be the first time ever purchasing a new laptop and having no problems. I had no problem with Parallels as well. Even got 10% discount off my Air purchase from my local seller:cool:

I also purchased the latest 2gig time machine and what a huge difference in wifi speed. :)

Good on you Apple for some really great new updated products one happy owner.

It's here! Scheduled to be delivered Monday morning, but arrived today. I don't have to wait all through the weekend, after all. Woo-hoo! 11/i5/8/256

Just ordered 13" i5 4gb 256gb ssd with 10% off, can't wait for delivery as it's my first mac laptop since the 2006 white Macbook which is now our kitchen music playing computer :)

I have an xps 15 but it's not exactly the most portable of machines, can't beat the display though.

I received my Macbook Air (13"/i7/8GB/128GB) on Wednesday after ordering the day after the keynote and I'm loving it. This is my first Mac so it's taking a bit of getting used to but I'm really liking the trackpad gestures and looking forward to starting iOS development. :)

hi guys,

could anyone who already owns a new 1.7 ghz i7 MBA (mid 2013, haswell) do a quick cinebench r11.5 benchmarkcheck (extended test) for me? that would be awesome.

here is the link for the app:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/CineBENCH-11.5-download-2475.html

thanks,
simon

Simon, I ran Cinebench and got the following results:
OpenGL : 26.11 fps
RefMatch : 99.4%
CPU : 2.99 pts
CPU (Single Core) : 1.41 pts
MP Ratio : 2.12x
I have no idea whether thats good or bad, but I hope it's helpful for you.
