Dam di da - I just got my MBA 13"/i7/8GB/256. Loving it already! Coming from the world of Windows I´m struggling a bit with the "now how do I do this on the Mac"-part but I was expecting that.
Wahey - as for concerns regarding the heat, it turned warm (not hot) as I installed an application from the cloud. Apart from that it´s not a problem - cool now when only doing light surfing.

Don't want to burst your bubble and I'd be glad if you got it by then, but I doubt you'll get it that fast. Most of the UK bound ones I've seen (including mine) have taken 2 days just to get out of China, one day stop off in Dubai, and currently mine's been in Germany for 2 more days. I'm hoping to get mine by friday and it's 80% of the way here already.My order has just gone to

When did you place your order? Mine is destined for the UK and has taken a different route to yours so far, didn't visit Dubai at all? See my previous post.
Ordered on the 17th, dispatched on the 20th. Currently still in Germany (since sunday night) unless UPS have messed up the tracking notifications (which is what I'm hoping).
Still think it's quite a big ask to get from China to his doorstep by friday. As I say, I'd love it to happen, we all like our Apple stuff

This replaces her old Macbook Air that was left/stolen on an airplane (oops). Use a firmware password, and enable a guest account everyone!

Really don't know why it took so long to "process" the order. Shouldn't Apple expect quite a few BTOs with RAM upgrade?

I ordered mine on 21st and it only dispatched this morning. Flew out if shanghai at 5pm their time.
Your is early as its estimated 1-3 BUSINESS days which is end of today.

I know but they really should've had plenty of models with different configs ready to ship. And seriously, 3 working days to change the RAM? Really?
It's only "departed from facililty" at 7pm local time. Does it mean it's going to the airport but not on the plane yet?
Yeah it needs the departure scan and export scan before taking to the "Air"

Cool. I am thinking of getting a decently-sized SDXC card to carry around in the MBA for movies and music. I am hoping the MBA will be able to access the card fast enough to allow smooth movie viewing. I think it will. Well, I hope it will!
I should've ordered this Monday not last Saturday. That would make the wait seem shorter! Haha
