Yeah I didn't see it there either when I first set it up. Was very lucky to catch it from apple's site when I did. Would say sorry. Well I am sorry there weren't more of them. I am sure there will be soon.

Yeah it will be very interesting to see what the specs and price are of the haswell MBPs.

Though still woulda went MBA for her since she thinks out MBP is too heavy.

HOLY COW! I just checked tracking and it is changed to a delivery of TODAY!! I ordered yesterday at 1:15 eastern!! Wow next day free shipping to boot.

Anyway, good luck getting what yah want.

Peace
Thanks and enjoy the new machine! :)

$280 discount?! from where?

The Apple reburbished store :) Maxed out new is $1849; picked it up for $1569, which is like getting the upgrade to the 512GB free!

I knew I wanted the i7 and 8GB ram, but was debating upgrading the storage. This made it very, very easy.

Thank you for this wonderful piece of information :D
Yestersay afternoon I canned my 13"/8GB/256GB/i5 order and got this Ultimate.
I called Apple directly and they had 12. By dinner time they were gone.

Funny thing, the Ultimate will get here before to BTO.

Glad you got one! I can't wait for it to get here! Got the sleeve I ordered today, but the computer won't be here until next Tuesday

Just ordered a maxed out Macbook Air!

I recently purchased the 27 inch iMac, but have since realized that a notebook is more "for me" as I'm on the go so much. I was able to sell that for $1500 so only had to come a little bit out of pocket.

I'm a little concerned about the speed of the computer since my iMac was always so fast, but really the only programs I use are a little bit of Photoshop, iMovie, and GarageBand, so I think I'll be fine!

Can't wait for it to get here!

I have to say it feels better/faster than the new one I bought and returned the other day... :)

I started to get a bit of buyer's remorse for spending that kind of money, so I called Apple to cancel my order. She instantly offered me $80 off my purchase if I kept the computer. So awesome!

Just got my refurb MBA. It is in perfect condition; just playing around with it now; so far, so good! As an aside, the battery is not new; it has 11 cycles on it, but seems reasonable.

I've been hanging out in the 'waiting for haswall MBP' thread but after a visit to the Apple store in Glasgow yesterday decided than another MBA to replace my 2010 MBA was the way to go, so the happy owner of a i7/8/512 MBA. Can't believe how quick it is and just ran a geek bench test and it's scored higher than my 2011 i5 iMac with 32gb RAM and SSD

Have a 2008 MBA with a 128GB SSD that I'm looking to sell, but not sure how much it might be worth. Any ideas?

Second day with my Ultimate refurb and it too is in perfect condition. Could not find a single scratch or mark. The only thing I found was a $280 + taxes saving :D
Battery cycle was at 3.

I will like to echo this. The i7 8/256 I bought the wife is mint. Can't see anything on the case, or the screen. The battery had 10 cycles on it.

Also, this is my first experience with an SSD... WOW just WOW!

Mine too, and I love it! The screen real estate will take a little getting used to from my 17", but the screen looks great, and is easy to read. I also LOVE the battery. I have been surfing, working on docs, downloaded several apps, and watching video for the past 6.5 hours, and still have 5.5 hours remaining! Love, love, love it.

as a 1st message on this forum i just wanna say i am happy that i received my macbook air mid '13 with the 8gb configuration. here is a small clip testing what is capable of after putting some progs inside and solving some quite annoying problems (with chrome and speakers doing a wierd sound due to flash issues and smc fan controller not communicating with the board showing 0 rpm and 0 temps)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WpXsS3gKrE

you can see a full boot cycle + 3 times black magic speed measure plus how it opens 3 tabs one after the other

New MacBook Air owner

So, just yesterday I went to a local Mac reseller here in the city I live in - it's a authorized reseller called Humac - I bought a, what they call, Special Edition MacBook Air 13". It has a 1.3GHz i5, HD5000, 128GB SSD and the upside; 8GB of RAM.

The 8GB model was one of their two Special Edition MacBook Air's - the other also has 8GB but with 256GB SSD - which I couldn't afford right there and then.

It's one hell of a machine. About 12 hours of battery fully charged but it sure went down quickly as I pulled the plug and started having iTunes and such running on battery. That's what a laptop does I suppose ;)

Loving it - since coming from a situation where I had to use Windows or use my PC as a Hackintosh - it's then great to finally be back on the correct hardware for OS X. The PC was sold and I now only have this as my main computer.

I'm STILL vacillating...

I'm currently working on a i5 MBA 8GB 128GB but will be returning that one Friday as the hard drive is too small.

I ordered BOTH a i5 MBA 8GB 256GB and I was able to grab a rMBP Retina 8GB 256GB this morning. I expect both by the weekend. I'm going to alternate working with them to see which one I like better... And yes I know the new MBP will probably be announced Tuesday.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Still have my MacBook Air 2013 version which I bought last August and still going strong.

I was a bit hesitant on spending over $1,000 on an Apple product, but I think it was well worth the money considering what is under the hood and how it is designed. Hardware and software built directly by Apple seems to make the difference.

Really like having to go through a whole day without having the need to recharge. The less need to recharge, the better.

The 512GB SSD FLIES - good choice :)
