I'm in the exact same situation too ! No arrival scan anywhere after it departed from Sharjah at 10:01. I called Apple today and the person on the phone told me that the delivery was planned tomorrow (I'm in France). After all, the mail I got when the MBA shipped stated "delivery on 07/26". Did she just read that or did she have some information about the actual tracking ? Guess I'll know tomorrow. I find it weird that UPS doesn't show any estimated date on their website since after the parcel got delayed.

Is anyone picking up from the Apple Store? I’m curious to know is there a specific time the ready 4 pick up email is sent.

I got the pick up notification this morning and immediately went to pick it up! I was originally scheduled for pick up on Jul 28th!

I got an import scan for cologne! Weirdly enough it still says delivery for today, that'll be a tough promise to do 😂

I hope it's here by tomorrow, don't know how they ship it from there to Switzerland, via plane or truck, latter could take a while and would set the delivery for tomorrow on an edge :(

Exact same for me. The order status is “shipped to store” as of last Friday on both the app and the website, so I know it won’t be 2-3 weeks. Almost certainly will even be before the 29th as past experience is about 5 days from shipping to arriving, which would be the 27th.
Three hours after I posted this I got the pickup notification from Apple! 4 days early. Setting it up now.

Yeah I got an import scan for Cologne! They're saying I'm getting it tomorrow though as usual that sounds oddly optimistic. I see a 03:00 AM flight from Cologne to Malmö but I live in Stockholm so it'd have to make another flight after that as well.

Edit: I see now there's a scheduled flight from Cologne to Stockholm at 03:52!

That's encouraging. I might get the pickup notice tomorrow or Wednesday then.
It's consistent with what others have posted here about the pickup notification coming 3 hours after the store opens, although that may just be coincidence.

Ugh. This afternoon, I watched (on the UPS app) the driver drive within one block of my neighborhood before bypassing it completely for a different neighborhood several miles away 😩 and now he's been parked at a shopping center for the last half hour (presumably eating dinner or something, which is totally reasonable... but 😭😭). They've bumped the estimated delivery back up to 7pm today 😔😔

I swear this app was built by sadists...

For those of you replacing recent Intel MacBook Pros, if you open the cardboard packaging careful, you'll have a perfect shipping box if you sell your old laptop online, and have to send it out. Avoid grabbing the center pull tab that rips the cardboard right down the middle.

Just bought a BTO M2 Starlight 8/16/1TB! Gonna be replacing my 2013 MBA which works really good for basic tasks, but for more intense work it's a bit slow, although I plan to keep using it!

Updates popped up for my DHL delivery. For some reason, all the tracking shows is that it was picked up in Shanghai, CN on 20th, and then processed at ICN in South Korea on 25th. I believe the tracking is missing few logs, like export or depart from China. Anyhow it seems it roughly takes about 5 days for a shipment to be processed from China for export.

Finally home and unboxed. I’m going to wait until tomorrow to fully set it up (I’m mentally exhausted right now and wouldn’t enjoy it) but first impression: this thing is light, thin, and dense. It feels solid in the hand.

And even though I can’t usually consciously hear the fan in my 2017 MBP, there’s something unnerving (in a good way) about how utterly silent this is ☺️

And starlight looks beautiful.

made it to Incheon, Rep of Korea. 😅
Mine doesn’t seem to be on the current flight to Cologne since there’s no departure scan from Incheon 😞 Does your tracking show a departure scan? Was sooo hoping it would still be delivered tomorrow.

Edit: It now shows a 13:30 departure scan from Incheon! 🎂
I guess the times are not always really in sync with the flight departures/arrivals.

Well mine was finally delivered yesterday literally the last hour of the day before deliveries stopped at 5.30pm.

Compared to my aging 2011 Macbook Pro, I can't believe the size and weight, never mind the performance.

So far I'm loving it.

Just placed my order!

Fully decked out Silver with 3 years of Apple Care+.

Have to take what I can get to keep within the Ecosystem.

My main daily driver is a 2018 12.9 IPP since it was the last device (Not including IP 11 and SE) without PWM.

This I know sounds like a broken record to most. However, it’s REALLY hard to find anything without PWM these days.

Especially phones…. regardless of platform. 😡

Im painfully aware this device has thermal constraints, but that better that not being able to use a device at all.

Don’t listen to the inevitable hyperbolic commentary on throttling. Yes the M2 MBA will throttle under unusually high loads but so did the M1 MBA. Under almost every use you will never see any thermal constraints. Even if you do throttle, as soon as the high load is over it cools off almost immediately and everything is back to normal. Throttling is usually 10%-15% off of peak and not really noticeable anyway.

Awesome!

I am just excited that after MANY years, there’s now an option for me to use and purchase.

It just plain sucks having sensitive eyes. 😡
