Mine was stuck in Clearing purgatory over the weekend but finally moved Monday morning. Afterward the status said Cleared Customs so I'm assuming it had something to do with that.
Well that's extremely annoying. I hope mine doesn't have that problem. I've seen that a lot during this product release. Maybe Apple sets all the pre-order shipping labels as a 'shipper hold' because they are usually held until release day? And they weren't changed for this go around?

This is the (parts of) EU 35W adapter with two thingies, to the right. To the left is a 100W GaN adapter. Not impressive size-wise I think. Hoped it'd be smaller. Maybe I'll just try and get by with the iPad Mini 20W charger in the bag.

Fun thing to note. Many cheap-o USB-C cables that have alt-mode capabilities (eg. being able to carry a display stream) are able to support the Thunderbolt protocol, albeit usually below 40Gbit speeds. Still, it beats out Wi-Fi and you might actually own one of these cables. I transfered almost 500GB of crap and it went by VERY fast.

If someone worried the 1TB version would have a single 1TB NAND, it does not. Or it's a very fast NAND. MBP 16" 2019 to the left.

I immediately threw it in the deep-end with productivity and games. Has been slaughtering it so far and makes my 2019 MBP a bit embarrassed. Going to do more video production tests on it but have to download some material off of the work servers first, so my old MBP is currently doing that with the fans swirling away in the other room
I'm near Heidelberg, thus about same distance from Cologne as Amsterdam 🤞💤
I love Heidelberg. Vetter's Brauhaus was my favorite place.

I have been chuckling that my shippment progress is telling the future. Because of the time zone I am in it looks like all of tomorrow's progress is being done today.
I have a very powerful desktop computer already, so I want something really small and light to lug in public transport but still capable of opening up and working on my fx or color grading projects (+ light gaming) .
Much more power than my work-laptop (the Intel 16" MBP) isn't necessary so as soon as they said that you would be able to configure the Air with 24GB if need be, it felt like the perfect choice.
I've not had time to do too many tests yet, but I did export an episode of a TV show from Resolve (semi-advanced grading on all clips, ProRes output), comparing times with my Intelbook, and the little Air won! Not by a big margin but impressively ahead nonetheless.
Proof that MBA is less than 3 hrs from it’s new home 🙌🏻

Yeah. I called FedEx again, the lady I spoke to said I could go the holding center to see if they will let me pick it up. I went, they would not. They told me it is in a sealed container from China and won't be opened and sorted until sometime tomorrow. WTF? Thursday is my day even though it has been sitting in Los Angeles since Monday morning. First world problems for sure as I type this on my 16" M1 Max with 64GB of RAM
Same situation for mine. It's been sitting at the local Fedex facility since Sunday but they won't deliver it. They said it's due to be delivered Thursday, but *might* be released Wednesday.Yeah. Ugh cheese and crackers, now it’s saying it’s delayed due to a mechanical failure in Anchorage. What is going on with the shipping companies lately? I don’t even want to think about how much of a mess the iPhone 14 orders are going to be if this is how things are going right now.
My July 19 Starlight 8/16/512 order got charged and went to “Preparing to ship” today.

The chase is over for me.. I’m exhausted from religiously checking the Apple Store for a midnight base model M2 a week straight. With 3 Apple Stores in my area.. no base middy’s ever came in. Over the weekend I told myself Tuesday would be day and guess what? I just ended up ordering the dang thing. You know what’s funny? Every store in my area will probably get one tomorrow.
That gives me hope! What was your original arrival date? My July 19 Starlight 10/16/512 remains stubbornly in processing.
Is it wrong that I check about a gazillion times a day?
Today’s the day! Already out for delivery. Will be sitting by the door 😂 I enjoyed being in the same “boat” with you 😉 Have fun unboxing! ✨
