My computer (the one I will be returning) is now in Dallas. It must have traveled by road from Memphis to Dallas - proof that the expedited shipping wasn't added!

In the meantime, I transferred PC Outlook/Parallels and installed some of my software. I have a dew more things to add today but wanted to do by hand rather than Time Machine to not bring in the clutter!

Be patient - this system is zippy! Even Safari seems to load web pages much faster!

Looks like nothing from Memphis to RDU today. Probably will end up delivering on Tuesday.

Panicking? I was just getting angry!
I also ordered it out of the EDU store, albeit over the phone because I wasn't on campus.
I've been looking at cases all day!
I've yet to see my new computer in person. Looking forward to the "surprise" when it gets here. Although from all the reviews and youtube videos i've seen, it won't be much of a surprise!

As far as I know, it'll get on a plane to east midlands airport and then sent to your nearest distribution centre for delivery.

Is it bad that I just had the thought of it getting a flight to the east midlands this evening and gets to a distribution centre overnight for delivery tomorrow?

If UPS aren't delaying flights out of Germany then why has my MacBook been stuck there for nearly TWO DAYS!? I was hoping for a Monday delivery but now they're saying it'll be the 4th?

As others have mentioned, it got from Shanghai to Germany in about two days? I've seen other peoples tracking history in the past and once it gets into COLOGNE it usually gets sent out about 2 hours later. What gives?

It hasn't left cologne. That's just to do with the importing stuff etc. Mine said that while it was still in Shanghai.

nopes yours already reached that stage previously (29/10 12.11 before your parcel arrived at Warsaw) its just the customs paperwork being signed off on at the admin centre in Cologne, which can happen at any stage in process up to and including once parcels hit Cologne

Arrival at cologne - its got to cologne

departure scan at Cologne? means its moved passed the customs bond and on to the outgoing terminal (might be on a flight or might be sat waiting for the next available one)

i.e. the only way you can tell for sure its left Cologne is when an arrival scan appears for East Mids

It'll then be travelling to East Mids who were slapped with a security lock down on Friday and will now have accumulated a backlog of stuff to work their way through.

On plus side the current estimated delivery date of the 4th could be being artificially skewed by the amount of time the package has now sat in Cologne (as compared to one that arrives mid week and doesnt sit at cologne any length of time), so once it does clear Cologne you might see that revised back down

That's what I'm secretly hoping. Although I've had Apple orders leave Cologne over a weekend before? Hopefully by the time I wake up in the morning things will get moving. Tuesday could be a likely date.

Ordered on 10/22 and then called on 10/24 to add expedited shipping. No change in arrival date! Called again about the Expedited shipping and it appears the guy charged me but didn't add to the package. Probably why my computer hung out in Anchorage for an extra day. They gave me a credit for the Shipping. Package is now in Memphis. Needs to get to Dallas. Not sure what happens over the weekend. Hopefully, it gets on that truck on Monday! Where are you?

ordered on 10/23, also called in to add expedited shipping on 10/24. no change in delivery date for me either. i will be calling them for a credit of the expedition charge.

i'm located in NJ, less than 50 miles from newark airport. it's been sitting in elizabeth since yesterday, but they have estimated delivery of tuesday

called about picking it up yesterday but they say apple's policy is to not allow pickup until one delivery attempt has been made.

I ordered mine last Sunday. Looking at the screenshots above, mine had the ORIGIN SCAN on the 26th, so before you guys' started the journey, but it looks your MBAs are catching up.

Seriously, go on the App Store and grab another UPS tracking app, I recommend Posted (there's a lite version for free) but others also seem to work. The UPS website doesn't seem to give the whole story, these other apps have quite a few extra scans on them which the site doesn't show.

It seems to take a while for it to appear. I seem to remember it was there on my shipment when I first got the tracking number, then after the first scan it disappeared, then a few days later it reappeared.

Umbraclaw, where do you live? Nov 6 is horrible!! We here in Toronto thought we were the last of the Oct 20th orders.

Are you one of the ones where the government is holding the items for inspection?

I live in Copenhagen, Denmark, so there shouldn't be any significant problems with customs...
Still not quite sure why it's taking so long, but I still haven't even gotten a tracking number :-/
