Got my 13" with max specs! Letting it charge now, seems to be in working order. Wake from sleep works and went through setup without a hitch. :)

Seems quite huge compared to my current netbook...I am loving the screen size!

Haven't got my carrier details yet! Im very impatient at the moment too! shouldnt have gone to the Apple store to have a play on one! Just makes me want it sooner!

I ordered on 1st Nov
Shipped 4th
Email recieved on 5th.

I keep checking for tracking details but nothing yet.

Would be very odd if mine got here before yours, but I think i got a bit over excited becasue this is what the tracking page says

Shipped to CARDIFF, GB 04 Nov 2010
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 18 Nov 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 08 Nov 2010

I assumed the 8th was when I will get it?? but then that doesn't make sense as it has an estimated date of the 18th?? The 8th of Nov date could be when it gets to the DC?? I hope not I want it nowwwwww!

I now have more information as of late yesterday. I've got a final carrier tracking number that doesn't work yet, the carrier is named as UK Distribution Center that I believe is TNT. I understand that I should be able to track from tomorrow. Delivery is still given as 'by 13 November'-12th UK time & I'm expecting/hoping that will be much earlier when I get the details tomorrow.
If yours follows the same pattern as mine you should get the final carrier details on the 9th then it won't be long!
I find this not knowing where your stuff is when you order extra bits in the UK dead frustrating. I ordered my MBP without Applecare just so I could have the pleasure of tracking it from China (got my Applecare from eBay with great care).
(Incidentally you can track shipments with a free widget called Delivery on a Mac or June Cloud's £2.99 app for an iPhone)

Ordered same day with same spec and same estimated delivery date. Going to Warrington, UK. The shipment got stuck in Korea for 12 hours due to a mechanical fault (!) but is now in Kazakhstan.

Mine was delayed in Shanghai. God knows when I would get my maxed-out macbook air 11.6" (I ordered mine on 11/1).

The waiting is killing me. So to cure the pain, almost everyday I go to a macstore somewhere, and my Girlfriend literally have to drag me away from this cute little MBA 11" :D

Btw. I noticed today for the first time that the spacebar row is slightly less in hight to the other Macbooks.

Another notice, I love the 9:16 screen ratio, most movies are fully screen filling now with the movie trailers.

I might not be objective here, but still the MBA 11" is the most beautiful looking mac ever made.

With kind regards,
Bas

Good luck, I was hoping for the first part of this week but looks like ill be waiting. They should tell you that they will be longer if you order more than one item, most people are getting theirs in 3 - 4 days.

Mine has gone from China to Alaska to Memphis in the course of the weekend. It has officially left Memphis and I would assume is on its way to my local FedEx. Delivery is still scheduled for the 11th, I have a feeling I will have it before then.

I did it!! I just ordered it today . . . the wait is going to be tough.

Side question: How easy is it to find the maxed-out 11.6" in stores?

13-inch MacBook Air, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD just shipped! Can't wait to open this when it gets here... How long do you think it will take to get here if I am in Canada? Thursday maybe?

Hi Alias,
Just a quick update-'tracking number' changed & carrier changed to UPS with delivery tomorrow-received by UPS today.
So: ordered 28th, shipped 1st, delivered 9th, so you should be able to work out your delivery from this. My original 'delivered by' date was 12th so delivery should be 3 days early.
Good luck with yours...

So, got my 13" Air a couple days ago... fully maxed out with 4GB RAM and the 2.13Ghz processor.... and 256GB Storage...

.. am in love with the thing.

For work I have a powerhouse 8-core Mac Pro with 16GB RAM etc etc etc... but this little Air is just awesome... it actually feels super responsive and snappy..... due to the SSD and slightly faster bus speed over the older models...

Doing some photoshop and web development on it, as well as day to day email and browsing, and it's great. Just one charge at night, and it's good all day to use (between using my mac pro for heavy lifting).

LOVE the 1440 x 900 resolution... a couple years too late IMHO for the 13" screens... but definitely makes working SO much easier! Screen is very bright, great contrast... tho black levels for watching movies at night are average... but hey thats what you get when you stick a display in a 3mm thick lid!

So yeah... nothing new here... just a happy owner of an Air..

Hope you guys enjoy yours! If anyone was feeling ambivalent about their purchase, worrying that the air may not be powerful enough over a low end pro... you shouldn't worry.. it's plenty fast/responsive!

Scottie

Same here. 21:29n (local, last night) for mine. Are they pooling them all for one delivery to the UK? 9.11.10 still projected delivery date.

Same with mine. I hope they are pooling things together since otherwise this is very inefficient. Whenever I order stuff off eBay and they ship from China (mostly camera parts) using carriers like UPS they turn up much, much faster. Perhaps Apple's use of WORLD EASE results in more time wasted due to pooling of deliveries.

Finger's crossed that I get it tomorrow ;)

It's here!!!! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. This thing is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to play with it a little more. Compared to my white MacBook, the screen is awesome.

All in all, it took 4 business days from order to delivery. Good job Apple! Well, maybe I should thank FedEx. This baby shipped Friday morning, and over the weekend, it went from China to Alaska to New Jersey then finally to Philadelphia where I am.

One more time... WAHOOO!!!

Hi Samuri

Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news but if you look at mine and rogerrams posts, our macbooks have shipped and "merge in transit". This method actually takes much longer than ordering the macbook on its own.

He ordered his on the 28th, shipped 1st nov and it will arrive today or tomorrow
I ordered 1st Nov shipped 4th, as of today I haven't got any tracking details and expect delivery at the end of the week.

I am in the same boat. I never order multiple items on one chart again! This is your reward for ordering a lot of Apple stuff all at once. I am not pleased by this. Such a big company, and then it takes 3 weeks to deliver your ordered goods!

With kind regards,
Bas
