Ordered mine on Friday, shipped earlier today. Still stuck in Shanghai and the delivery date has been going from 29th Nov to 1st Dec. Currently it's unknown

Mine finally arrived. They trucked it 700 miles from Memphis but still got here today. Two days before their estimate of 24th. I'm relieved it made it before Thanksgiving.
No problems with the delivery.
No obvious serious problems with the 13" MBA. The bottom edge of the screen is dark, like a drop shadow, but I haven't decide how bad that is. I'm trying to get used to it.

very upset with apple, I thought they had a warehouse in america, not shipping it directly from the factory overseas, I mean we are paying enough... shipping estimate is super vauge and as far as I know its been a week and my laptop has not left shang hai. This is starting to make mac mall look good.
I’m not sure why you are upset, you’re getting a freshly made laptop directly from China. It’s a brand new laptop, they are still building up the supply and shipping it directly to the customers first to get it out on the market. It will be months before they have enough supply to store within warehouses in the US.
The other thing is the retail SKUs, most of the CTO orders will be shipped from the factories instead from the warehouses in USA since Apple do not do custom stuff in US.
MacMall actually have to wait for their shipments as well from China. Macmall didn’t even get their first shipments of MBA until the second week of Nov.
I am guess I should be upset with fedex? "delivers by Nov 29th by 4:30", thats so absurd... I guess I should have got the 2 day shipping for $14 but several forum members here said it was a waste, since shipping times were "fast", well maybe its the holiday delay?

My MBA 11.6, 4GB, 1.6GHz will arrive on Friday! My uncle is bringing it from the US, which saves me a few (about 230) euros. Can't wait!

I orderd my macbook air on saturday, my card was charged, and it shipped out yesterday. Today it says in transit.
But this morning apple has deposited the money they withdrew minus 16 dollars back to my account.
Called apple they say everything ok, bank says everything ok,
has anyone seen this before or had this happen to them

Mine also said 11/29 but it is on the truck for delivery now 11/23. I had the free shipping too.

This happened to me... after my MBA was delivered. It was eventually recharged. Not sure why it happens, but I wouldn't let it make you think that there is a problem with your order.

random thoughts:
keyboard is not as good as thinkpad's for me (I prefer harder key presses and the valley shape keys on my x100e, also it felt higher quality).
bezel is pretty absurd but I guess I just have to get used to it...
not as bright screen as other macbooks , 64gb ssd is a lie. More like 45gb after the OS. I have to use an external for my itunes collection.
having said that this is the best laptop I have ever owned. played a boat load of MKVS fine 720/1080p/viemo hd/youtube etc. super fast with Virtual DJ, itunes, safari, etc... dock is best on the <, screen quality is amazing, gaming is good, not amazing but still good. sound output is nice, really sexy in person...

No. All storage is quoted without any installed software, including OS. Furthermore, this from the Apple site:
Ordered my 13" 4GB MBA yesterday. Expected delivery on the 30th. Still havent shipped. Hope its soon though.
Maxed out MBA 13" On Its Way
Ordered the 13" maxed out MBA on Saturday 11/20 at around 1am, with 11/29 expected delivery via Fedex. Didn't hear anything about shipping until Monday 11/22, at which point I got the standard "Billing Info Received" information. Package finally made it to Anchorage on Tuesday 11/23 at 8:30am.
No further updates until Wednesday night 11/24, which was slightly frustrating. According to Fedex, expected delivery is Monday 11/29 by 4:30pm, which is an excruciatingly long wait (almost 10 days after placing order) considering the experience of others in this forum. I guess I'm getting a bit screwed by the Thanksgiving holiday as no delivery on Thursday. Just read that package left Anchorage and is heading to Oakland (I'm in SF), so relieved I avoided the whole Memphis shuffle. Please let it get on a truck for delivery on Friday morning! It would suck knowing my computer was just sitting in Oakland (10 miles away) from Wednesday 11/24 at 9pm until Monday 11/29.

I just picked up an 11" MBA base model today at an Apple retail store. Absolutely love this thing, nothing beats it! Worth every cent.
fedex have many cargo planes flying back and forth from China every day..
I am sure the delay is apple's factory..not Fedex..
