Returned it to the Apple store due to a faulty SSD. Awaiting for a new MBA to arrive by Monday.
In case anybody care, I just picked up my MBA replacement. It *only* took them two weeks to replace my MBA. Wasn't really happy about the long delay. Hopefully this replacement will not die on day three.
I have been waiting since 28th of October for my 11.6" 1.6/4/128, you might be luckier, but I strongly recommend buying throu Apple.

Just for reference, I ordered 13" ultimate from Apple online store and shipped very fast, sunday ordered friday delivered. 1-3 business days is very fast de.
For reseller I think it will take longer as they also buy from apple.
Just like the guy above, I recommend ordering direct through Apple.

Best Denki got safety 5 warranty which with Best Platinum card can get for SGD 140 and that includes flood,accidental damage (1yr), fire, theft, normal failure etc... better than apple care.

All Airs are in China right now. That's why it takes like 2 weeks to get to people who are not in China. Hence my delivery date is 22nd and I ordered on the 4th...
YAY! Just got a shipment notification for a MacBook Air I ordered for my father to use. I'm sure he'll love it. The notification came at 12:39am EST (USA), which could be explained by them shipping from China.

On 6 December I've ordered a 13" MacBook Air, 256GB with upgraded CPU and RAM. Yesterday I've received a shipping notification.
But when I take a look at the order tracking page it states that my MBA is shipped by 'Expeditors Shanghai'. Does anybody have any experience with this shipment company?
I've ordered several Apple products but never seen this company before.

I'm thinking about ordering a base MacBook Air to replace my 13" MacBook Pro, can anyone who has one tell me how much free space the 64GB model arrives with? If it's only like 40GB or something that might just be what it takes to push me over the edge into the 128GB model.

What type of warranty / return policy does MacMall have? I haven't purchased anything from them before.

Congrats! How does it end up $50 cheaper? I thought Apple controlled pricing and kept it all equal?
Update: Just checked the order status. The MBA should arrive today. The SuperDrive should arrive tomorrow.

MacMall is just an Apple Reseller. Therefore, you get your one year warranty from Apple. You can buy a warranty from MacMall, but why do that? Just get Applecare.
As for returns, I think they'll accept returns only if there is a problem with damage from shipping, otherwise you deal with Apple- who has the greatest customer service I've yet experienced when it comes to gadgets.

Not really sure- but I know resellers can get away with allowing small discounts. For example- look at Black Friday deals- and Amazon.com routinely sells Macs at slightly discounted prices. Just gotta shop around.

I finally took the plunge and just placed my order at the Apple Store online for the 11.6 Ultimate. Hopefully it will be here before Christmas!

Same here. I just ordered the BTO 11" Ultimate AND BTO 13" Ultimate MBA.
Let's see how they compare. Keep you guys posted on the shipping progress.
