Picked up my macbook air 11" yesterday. This thing is amazing! Didn't want to wait for the refresh, personally it won't be my main computing device but it is still amazingly fast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! :D

It's here and it's amazing! I love the smell of new Apple products! :D

Lucky, well you can get the refurb ones shipped really fast. mine got delayed. at first fedex expected delivery date was friday may 6 at 10:30am(central time) and on may 4th it changed to monday may 9.... i called fedex to see if there was any chance of it coming in on friday and i would just pick it up instead of wait for the guy to deliver it but they told me that it would come monday and they would deliver it that same day :(
i was really hoping to get it on the 6th.

Sorry about that SR71. This morning I went on to track my package and it was in a city ~30 mins away from my house. I called fedex and they said it would actually be delivered today.:D
The fedex site though, still says estimated delivery is may 9th...

Mine came in this morning. I really like it. Since it's my first mac I'm getting used to it. Trying to find similarities to windows, kinda hard though. lol. I'm learning.

Congrats! Which one did you get?

I'm on my second Mac and prefer Mac OS X to Windows now. It's different at first but you'll learn it quick and grow to like it more.

I have the 11" ultimate. I love how it looks and that it is so light. I know i will use this thing everyday next semester, since this semester is ending. lol. Anyways, so far I don't see much of a difference from mac os to win7. Can do pretty much same stuff. I think the mac os looks a lot nicer though. And there has been a lot of little things i've noticed that makes me enjoy this macbook more.

Just bought the Macbook air from Apple refurbished store!

Just like the title says, I decided to buy the macbook air from the refurbished store! It seemed like a great deal and it will be my first apple laptop, I usually buy iMac's. Can I expect anything different and how many people have bought their macbook air refurbished?

My current MacBook Air (11" Ultimate) is refurbished. The only differences are that it didn't have the fancy box and it arrived with 13 cycles on the battery (no big deal when the battery is supposed to last 1000 cycles).

I agree, the box isn't that important, I am not going to use the box to write my school papers, lol :p :apple:

I think thats a great deal, and yes you can upgrade the SSD, follow the link to macsales, OWC, they have some great, but expensive, SSD options.

It doesn't look that great in the picture but the white sticker that doesn't completely cover the glowing Apple logo looks awesome.

Ordered the base 11-inch MBA from the Apple refurb site tonight. Can't wait to get it. Played with one at Best Buy today for a while, and I think it will do all I want it to. Basically want a very portable computer to write on (I'm a journalist), and do some light browsing, etc. My iPad ALMOST served this purpose, but it's just not quite there. And while you can use an external keyboard with the iPad, it just doesn't equal the laptop feel.

Apple says my Air should be in my hands by Wednesday or Thursday. I will be anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

In a house.
Just brought her home!

Just purchased the 11" base model. It's a great little machine! Extremely light, beautiful and no heat issues whatsoever... And fast!
