So I picked up my MBA Ultimate from IT today (ordered last week, courtesy of my boss), and they accidentally ordered an 11" Ultimate vs 13". That or mine got swapped with someone else's order.

So I'm giving it a few days to try out, but so far I'm pretty happy with the 11". Especially since I'll be traveling a bit for work, this will make my shoulder happy as well.

Done it, my flexible friend said yes! :D

Ordered myself the 13 inch MacBook Air Ultimate
2.13 ghz
4 gb ram
256 ssd

And external SuperDrive

Hopefully they won't refresh anytime soon

Want the :apple: cinema display also but will wait for a refresh on that one.

Says it will ship in 24 hours but I'd imagine they don't count the weekend, hopefully will have it by next Tuesday/ Wednesday at the latest :D

Best Decision Ever

I've had my new Air for about a month, so I've had time to get used it and have an opinion. I ordered the 13" Ultimate. I totally love it. It feels so natural. I am still getting used to the multi-touch trackpad. That's the only thing I don't totally love, but when I get used to it, I'm sure it will work well. The Ultimate is so much faster than my 2006 Blackbook. The Ultimate 'blows the doors off' the Blackbook. I can open up Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop simultaneously, even while running Parallels, without any lag. That would have been impossible on the Blackbook.

I purchased the incase sleeve and an awesome Kenneth Cole messenger bag for it, and I keep it with me at all times.

This is a great bag, and a great deal. The current model is three times as much new at full retail.

I'm really happy with my decision. I was concerned with the speculation before the new MBA was released. I had toyed with the idea of getting an MBP and an iPad, but when they released the new MBA, I knew it was for me. The MBA is the future. I have never needed the optical drive. I shared my Blackbood optical drive to install my software, and I will probably download new software online or from the App store as I need it. Best decision ever.

EPP and Refurbished

Ordered first day hours after keynote but had to cancel and order again at night because my EPP discount was cheaper then EDU discount :D

Bringing up an old reply -- just wondering something. Is it always true that an EPP discount will NOT apply to *refurbished* products? Or do some EPP discounts have it apply to refurbished products while others don't?

Picked up MBA ultimate yesterday. This will complement my mid 2010 17" MBP which has become more of a desktop replacement

I wanted to wait for refresh but after playing around with it at the Apple store, I just couldnt resist :)

I've been holding out for for a SB 13" ultimate to replace an early 2k8 MBP, but just cracked and bought a 11" base refurb. My girlfriend's machine is on its last legs and I promised she could get mine after I upgraded so that pushed the decision up. $850 now vs. $1500 or so (whatever the refurb on that is) is a lot easier to swallow.

My attitude is I'll make do with the 11" for a year or so then upgrade to the 13" ultimate once Ivy Bridge hits, and that will be my more long term machine.

Just ordered my 13" Ultimate refurb. Very excited. Hopefully I'll get more use out of this than I did my ipad. It's due to be delivered on Tuesday.

Congrats! Mine (same as yours) arrived today. I'm off now to find a decal or skin. Have big fun!!

March 30th:
Well, I've finally loaded the apps and data I wanted, and am surprised to see that I have in excess of 90gigs left on my 11" Ultimate. Coulda gotten away with the base 64gigs. In any event, i gotta tell ya, I know it's off to proclaim love for an inanimate object, but LawdHaMercy is this baby SWEEETTTT! Hmm, perhaps I'll go back and add my music and some pics.

Thought I'd post for once.

I just purchased a 2010 13" model with 2GB of memory and 256gb SSD.
It has 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
So farI'm loving it! I'll have to see how ell it runs Adobe CS5 Master Collection.
Thanks,

-Danny

Curiouser and curiouser

My MacBook Air 13" ultimate has made quite the journey so far...

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 07/04/2011 10:37 Departure Scan
07/04/2011 8:52 Arrival Scan
Shanghai, China 07/04/2011 6:06 Departure Scan
Koeln, Germany 06/04/2011 13:22 Package data processed by brokerage Waiting for clearance
Shanghai, China 06/04/2011 19:19 Export Scan
06/04/2011 11:15 Origin Scan
China 06/04/2011 0:53 Order Processed: Ready for UPS

...in fact, I suspect it never was in Germany. After all, why would it fly east again when it was relatively so close to Barcelona? Anyway, it'll arrive one day soon. Until then, I'm sticking with my soon-to-be-demoted 2006 iMac.

I ordered over the phone and next thing you know it was on my doorstep the following morning. I'm just curious, I suspect Apple uses ninjas or something as their delivery couriers.
