I just ordered my MBA 4/13/11. I had the 4GB upgrade and the 1.6Ghz upgrade on the 128GB 11". Scheduled to come 4/18 - 4/21, setting my clock. Been primeirly using an iPad, have 13" MB white but it's about 4 years old so I'm past due.

I used to build PC's, switched in 2007. My first Mac was a 2.2 BMB which now sports a 480 GB OWC SSD, and 6 GB RAM, still wicked fast. It's teamed with a 24"Dell 24" Ultra Vision Monitor on an ergonomic arm, Magic Tracpad,Magic Mouse.I will use it tethered to the desk, actually a 24" AnthoCart, in clamshell mode till it dies.I am dying to see just how long my first Mac lasts, it will run Lion, as soon as it is released.

I have purchased a 2010 11",4GB RAM, 64GB SSD MBA, and am saving for a 360 GB OWC Aura SSD, to slip into it, THAT will be my thin light, carry everywhere, go to notebook, which I will run my business with, and begin my retirement hobby, of Digital Photography.:apple: so fits my lifestyle. I just know, you will love :apple:, just as much as I do.

I have the exact same feeling as you... except mine isn't the top spec 13". Mine just has 4GB of RAM. :)

This is also my first Mac... I love it so much more than Windows. For the past couple of years, I hated Mac's solely because the Mac's at my school (2006 whitebooks, and new iMac 21.5") were slow, froze a lot, and were constantly having network issues -- although I suspect that's not the Mac's fault as I have full bars EVERYWHERE I go in my house, while the same cannot be said for my old Windows laptop -- so I never thought of Mac's as being any good until I read a ton of reviews about the MacBook Air and all of them saying it's amazing, and finally tried one out in the Apple Store. Since then, I've been hooked to Mac OS X and in my opinion, it is now superior to Windows.

Bought a refurb yesterday. 13" 128SSD and 4GB. Really looking forward to replacing my 2007 macbook.

Yup, got my MBA today. How to describe it...amazing! Super fast, small, light, great screen resolution! I wasn't sure whether to go with the 11" or 13". I honestly think I would have been happy with either, but opted for the great refurb deal on the 13". Same dimensions as my 2007 macbook except lighter and thinner, which is great! I highly recommend this computer!!!
