Yeah had exactly the same and the same release time in the same place, I think our kit is in the same batch!!

Now I did get an ETA originally from Apple of the 10th, but when it shipped early the delivery date was then revised to the 2nd, then the 3rd and as you found, now nothing.

Interestingly I did a quick chat with Apple, just to see what they would say. In short 'your ETA was the 10th what is your problem', which is a shame as the tracking pointed to a nicely earlier delivery and now, who knows.

It will arrive but not the best buying experience and normally its fab. Looking on Reddit there is a huge list of people who are specifically having problems with UPS, the other couriers don't suffer the same issues.

Has to be in same batch.

Yea, Apple store app still says 9th to 11th, which it did when I ordered. UPS was the one with different, earlier dates.

just can’t understand how it was released from customs almost 24 hours ago and has gone nowhere! I’m only an hour and 25 minutes from Stanford Le Hope! Dammit.

And just like that my UPS My Choice app says its due tomorrow. No change on the tracking mind you but that is the new update. Lets see if it arrives tomorrow.

Mine was an e-mail update and the UPS app says the same that its due on Friday.

Tracking however just says released from customers agency yesterday and nothing else. Honestly I'm going to look for a needle in a haystack its easier I think than second guessing UPS. Will post back if I see any other changes.

Mine says by end of day, even when logged in with ‘my choice’, no idea when! Why is UPS so backwards with tracking and delivery windows?! All other services I’ve used have had some indication.

I currently have a set-up where I have a 2014 MacBook Pro and a 2011 MacMini. The MacMini is always there at home while the MacBook Pro travels - even if just to the backyard deck during Covid. The 2011 MacMini is still doing a great job as a server for web, git, etc.. It can consume content, like YouTube just fine. It's just not great at all for development. Far too slow. Even bringing up Chrome takes like 15 seconds.

I just ordered a 16gb 1tb M1 Mac Mini to replace my 2011 MacMini.

Depending on how fast this new Mini is, it might replace my 2014 MacBook Pro as my main development machine. If so, I still want to code outside, so does anyone have good suggestions for the best screen sharing apps?

I went from a 2014 Mac mini, to the 16Gb M1. It’s like night and day! Love it. Only disappointment is the lack of iOS apps made available by developers, but that’s not the be all & end all.

Ordered a M1 16gb/256 which is on the way. The newest ‘puter in the house is a 2011 Macbook Air. I have a tower older than that. This is going to be a huge upgrade.

Developing SwiftUI on an M1 vs an Intel chip mac is night and day.

On my M1, just edit the code and the GUI preview immediately responds to the change.

It was impossible to use on my old intel Mac. The preview would work - maybe - 20 seconds later. Most likely it would crash then make me click a button to resume the preview. So, every line of code created or edited took 20 seconds to a minute to see. Completely unusable on an intel Mac.

I've gone ahead and ordered a 16GB M1 Mini to use as my main desktop machine. I've had an M1 Air for a few months and the performance & efficiency is amazing, so can't wait to get one for my desktop. I do a bit of everything so the all round performance of the M1 is perfect for this. And it will be nice to have a desktop Mac which remains utterly silent and cool regardless of what I'm doing with it.

ETA for mine is 9th to 13th April.

Finally making the jump to a Mac Mini (M1, 16/256) after more than a decade of MacBook Pro usage. Ordered 3/25, Apple states delivery to be 4/5, UPS originally stated 4/2 but now it's "check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date". Either way, very excited to make the jump to a desktop setup.

Bought a refurb M1 Mac Mini (512/16) to replace my 2011 Mac Mini. The old one still worked...ok..but lost upgrade options and weird delays in opening apps and sometimes responsiveness meant it was time. in the pita task of moving and deleting files now. I have a ridiculous amount of old emails in the mail app - do those transfer through cloud? i prefer a clean new machine as far as files and apps, but the mail thing has me puzzled. Now I just need to pick some accessories - keyboard and mouse mainly, new back up drive also. Looking forward to a fast responsive machine.

Have had the new Mini for about a week now and it really is great. After going through a few different monitor options I've settled on a 27" 4K LG one as it seems to offer the best combination of a decent resolution, icon size and no blurry text.

The only thing now is that as the machine is so quiet (all 8 cores are maxed out just now encoding in utter silence), I can hear my iTunes library which is on an external spinning HDD.....

I just placed an order for a 512gb M1 Mac Mini with 16gb of ram. Has anyone with the same configuration's order shipped out earlier than expected? It says it will take about two weeks and I will receive it by May 4th.

Yes, my 16GB machine had an ETA of about 3 weeks and came within 7 days. This was about 2 weeks ago.

My delivery is scheduled for today but the status still says "Cleared Customs" since yesterday. I'm probably not going to get my new Mac Mini today, am I?

Missed my chance to get a refurb, saw them in stock last night, decided to sleep on it, when I checked this morning they were gone :(

Now I'm gonna make my homepage the Apple refurb Mac store and check it 20x a day :D

That’s exactly what I did, and because of that I got the exact model I wanted for a considerable savings.
