I bought mine a few months ago, refurbished.. I'm very happy with it. I just had to buy keyboard, speakers and camera ,that's the only negative thing about it

I tried using my M1 MBA in clamshell mode with an external monitor but waking it from sleep was a hassle. My MBP and MBA are fantastic laptops but it was time to get a proper desktop Mac and I picked up a refurb base M1 Mini and am loving it! As expected from Apple Refurbished, the Mini arrived pristine and looked brand new.

My Mini finally made it to the US so I should get it soon. In the meantime I just got this beauty in the mail…

Yep…brand new. Just hope my wombat ADB-USB adapter gets here before the Mini.

Looks amazing, hope it works well with the adapter. Something from back in the day when not everything Apple made had to be shrunk as small as possible!

Thanks. It’s my favorite Apple keyboard. Just taking it out and test typing brings back the memories, especially hearing the click clack of the alps switches.

My new HauweiMac ! Got the 4k Huawei 3:2 monitor first, then my 2013 Macbook Pro could not handle it correctly, so I bought the base Mini M1: 450€ for the screen, 750€ for Mini + Blutack 1$= 1201€ when the exact same specs iMac 24 sells at 1669€ in France.

I was a bit surprised to find my new Mac mini has Ventura loaded onto it since Ventura is not officially released yet. I just got it yesterday, 12/2/22.
16GB RAM and a 1GB hard drive. It runs very cool and quiet. Ventura seems good. A great machine.

Yeah, I think that's a good way to go versus the current iMac. Especially since I really don't like the white bezel on the current iMacs. A new mini with any one of the good monitors out there is a far better deal.

Ventura was released October 24. I got my Mini 2 days ago with Monterey and it was satisfying as I always stay one year behind at least with OS, for software compatibility and not willing to be beta tester for the new Ventura...

Speaking of better deal, I got the Mini base SSD 256Go (speed: 2500MB/s) with a Samsung T7 2TO on USB-C (speed: 700MB/s), for $200 when Apple charges $800 for 2TO non-replaceable.

That also is an excellent idea. I've been booting from a T7 on my old 2015 iMac because it's quicker than the internal fusion drive.

Placed my order on the release day. Mac Mini M2, 24 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD. Delivers 31 Jan.

Edit: Update today 20 Jan: Status has changed to Preparing to ship! Let's go!

M2, 16gb and 512gb would have been more than enough for me so I ordered M2 Pro, 32gb and 1tb. Expected 6th - 8th Feb

Edit: cancelled the 32gb/1tb order and saved £600 by going with the base M2 Pro

Yeah, I guess when the status have changed to Preparing to ship, it's to late to change the order. But you could receive the computer and then return it and order new one.. If you really want 16 GB RAM. My order has changed today as well to Preparing to ship.

Ordered two M2 Pro Mac Minis, morning of 17th.

1st was 16GB RAM / 512 SSD / 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Going to use this primarily as a streaming device (both gaming and media) connected to my 4k/120 projector.
2nd was 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Going to use this as a headless server for Plex and exporting 4K media files in DaVinci Resolve.
Got 10 Gigabit Ethernet in the hopes that Xfinity Gigabit Pro (6 Gbps) becomes available in my area.

Both are saying ships 3-4 weeks or Feb 15-22 delivery. More delayed than anticipated!
