M2 Pro - 16GB/1TB/10Gb E - ordered Jan 18 - they finally charged my card (this morning), but still no change from "Processing".

ETA - Feb 23.

Seems like the 10GB are taking longer for some reason.

I already got my mouse/KB and Studio display and they charged my card for the M2 Pro, but no movement on status thus far.
Mine is expected Feb 7 - 14.....hope it's sooner.

Yep - makes me wonder if they built any of the boards before launch. Definitely seems the desire for 10Gb is a niche.

Cool, just progressed one step closer in the last hour....... 🤗

Nice setup! Love the vintage looking microphone. 👌

Got my M2 Pro base spec (16gb RAM / 512gb SSD) yesterday, at my local Apple Store, very happy with it! I was hoping that it had a better speaker, at least the Pro version, but it's just the same found in the M1 model. Also, I was hoping it came with the fabric power cable being it a Pro, but no luck!

Dreaming of a Studio Display setup. Before going with the Mini I gave a try to the iMac 24, fell in love with the screen quality and the glossy finish. But as a professional photographer it just wasn't enough power and enough screen space. Glad I returned it and went with the mini M2 Pro! Maybe in the refurb store someday will come a good deal for Studio Display.

For those of you interested:
• my unit is deadly silent, stable at 1700rpm/27°C, even under heavy workloads (Lightroom, DaVinci, AfterEffects)
• disk speed is luckily better than expected (see image attached. Did the test with a 5GB stress) and it is about the same I had on a 16gb/1tb M1 8core iMac.
Hi magphotos, thanks for sharing your experience! I am contemplating between 512gb and 1tb on the M2 Pro. Being a professional photographer, I'm curious whether having the 1tb (with double the speed compared to the 512gb) will make a significant difference on time savings when processing photos, importing, exporting, creating previews?

I'm guessing probably I won't notice the difference, but curious to hear your views. I plan to have an external 1TB SSD so a lack of space shouldn't be an issue. Thanks! 😄

if you are like me and this is your first mac with more USB-C ports than USB-A ports and you have multiple regular external drives, instead of getting an adapter, get this cable instead

make sure the cable on your external drive looks like the one in the picture. i have 3 western digital external drives with Micro-B ports
The adapters are too fat & wide

Picked it up yesterday, not installed yet, box unopened, maybe later today or for a couple days before I can set it up.

picked up my 1st Mac desktop this week right before a snow storm, M2 Pro 16/512 Mac mini, so far so good.

After a few days, I probably found a better way to use this Mac mini, turn the rear IO ports to the right, and finally, I don't have to lift the box up, stick my head behind the monitor, and plug in various external devices.

Well, if you don't want to look at the cables, you could just find a USB hub (that's what I did for my 2012 mini). :)

Cool. my Feb 7-14 order shipped early too and will be here on the 3rd. (I'm in CA)

check the actual tracking on UPS, it'll give a better estimate.
Wow, that's cool. Mine just got charged to my CC and was scheduled for Feb 10-17. Hope it also comes early since my ASD is just sitting here waiting, waiting, waiting.
M2 Mini 32GB, 2TB.

Mine was "shipped" about 3 days ago (minus line 4 hours) and still the only update is label printed in Hong Kong. UPS still says Thursday (Apple says Friday), so I guess we'll see. A 1 week delay would sure beat the 2-3 week delay I was first given.

Has anyone else gone through: places order for M2 Mac Mini Pro, cancels order because they read something in the forms about the specs you selected, places another order, cancels order again because of something else said about the value/cost of upgrades selected, back to overthinking it…?
