just got off the phone with Apple Customer Service. I was very polite and let them know I just called to inform them of the current situation regarding orders not going out "in order", and just the general nature of the discussion on here in this thread.

The rep was extremely nice and helpful. She did try to give me a line about how there are different factories all over. I told her I was not interested in debating but merely that I was going to report what I was seeing and if she could pass that info along to higher ups that would be wonderful. It seems she was genuinely uninformed on the Mac Pro - having said that she just recently took her first order for one.

Anyways- when i mentioned the spreadsheet she was super interested. When I mentioned it was on Mac Rumors, she said that reps are not allowed to go on a lot of sites and they sort of look down on rumors but Mac Rumors is actually one they're allowed to look! I told her if she was able to, she should look at this thread, and specifically the spreadsheet itself - which she then did!

She was pretty floored at the amount of data we've compiled, one of her comments was to the effect of "Wow! Europe and Asia are on here too!". I asked her to pass the spreadsheet around, and just kind of reiterated that Apple has thus far not broken any promises exactly - but that there is a contingent of their customers whore spending quite a bit who are less than delighted at the lack of transparency. She said she'd pass the info along - but also recommended using apples Feedback form, as it "goes straight to corporate". She basically suggested with all the effort we've put into the spreadsheet, we should be able to barrage them with email.

Let 'er rip, gentleman!

greetings all,
I'd like to start by thanking everyone. I finally got my nMP yesterday and you guys kept the crazy at bay waiting for it.

I'm trying to do a bootcamp install of windows 8.1 and I'm having some major issues and I'm wondering if anyone who has theirs already has had any success.

My install is failing saying it's unable to update the computer's boot configuration. Anyone have any ideas?

My university ordered a 4-core with upgraded RAM and upgrade to D500. It shipped yesterday and will be here Thursday. This order was placed Dec 19th around 3:30PM Eastern.
My order was placed at 5:30AM Eastern that day and has yet to move from "order processing." Both machines were ordered using the educational discount pricing. Frustrating.

Lol. Edited.

haven't filled it in yet. I think you're on the right track. I'll select enhancement when I do.

"Efficiency/Workflow" would probably also work. ;)

----------

Any other January orders make it out of "Processing" yet today? Seems pretty quiet. (I'm still stuck there.)

Finally some movement,

Not sure if it was a push from the guy at Executive Relations, but my card was charged at 9pm today (UK) and it is now at Preparing for Dispatch.

Now will it get here by the end of Jan :D

As to feedback to Apple.

I received a phone message and a follow up email from Apple after I filled out the survey they had sent me a few days ago. In my return email, I described at length my displeasure in the "interesting" that orders we fill and included a link to the spreadsheet. I expressed my disappointment with the lack of communication from Apple as to delays in my order.

She asked if I had questions about my order. I said I had none as it had be cancelled. I praised the customer service person I spoke with.

No response from my latest input.

Well done! Hopefully he has enough influence to get someone in manufacturing to review the open orders and make sure they're going out in the right order...

What! No updates on the spreadsheet today? (US)

Thanks to Scissors

Really appreciate the nMP spreadsheet. Not only is the data interesting, but it has some definite therapeutic value for those of us anxious for February!

I've had a similar experience to you, Stageshoot, in that I've been speaking to Apple too. My order is still "Processing Items Dispatched: January" but you mentioning that your credit card had been charged this evening made me think that I may as well check mine (yet again ). Imagine my surprise when I saw that the available balance has dropped by a Mac Pro sized lump. A quick tot up on the calculator and it's exactly the right amount.

Just going to keep hitting refresh on my order status page now until it changes.

Ever so slightly excited. I'd be embarrassed to admit that anywhere else than this forum thread - we're all in this together. :D

Looks like Stageshoot put the fear of God into Apple with his phone call.

They spent the whole day of the 21st processing his order by the looks of the spreadsheet.

Thanks very much. I look forward to posting those pics!

I hope I haven't jumped the gun here because although my credit card's available balance has gone down, my order status is yet to change. I got the impression that Stageshoot's status changed quite quickly.

Ah well, I must be patient. I'll check again in the morning!

Not to dissapoint you, but my card was charged on the 19th motegi was on the 18th, still "Processing" for both of us. Although there does seem to be a bit more love for northern hemisphere orders over southern hemisphere.

Stageshoot was only a matter of hours to change to "Preparing for Dispatch". So you might have more luck!

does anyone know if changing from home to ship to store will add more wait time? I'm thinking that instead of slapping my address on the box they put the store address instead...
Thinking of changing mine because UPS delivers late and most of time I'm at work etc.

How do I add my info into the google docs?

Also plus one for Jizzart comment "Designed in California, Assembled by lazy Americans" :D

My diskless Pegasus2 shipped today as well. They must have received a batch of them all at once.
