I think mine may be in the same state. I "shipped" Saturday (1/18) same as yours but with assigned UPS tracking number, but UPS has not seen the package. I just assumed that they didn't actually have a shipper pickup over the weekend and it'll hit the system tonight.
That's got to be what it is. Three for three forum orders that shipped yesterday via two different carriers and they're all missing? That seems pretty danged unlikely. I can almost guarantee that FedEx and UPS simply didn't pick up over the weekend and your orders will all show up later this evening when the carriers do their daily pickups.

I have ordered a lot of stuff from Apple and this is the first time they have lost my order. Some how, my Mac Pro never made it to FedEx. Apple said they can see the order leaving the warehouse / factory or whatever and thats it, nothing more. The rep was kind of baffled at this, he had never seen this before.

Yikes!!! What a nightmare.

If your tracking number never went "live," it means the box never made it onto the FedEx truck. (They scan each box as it goes onto the vehicle.) It would be interesting to know what Apple meant by "seeing the order leaving the warehouse/factory."

Hope it turns up!

I'm hoping the orders from the 18th and 19th ship out with those of us that got our notices today. They can hang out on the ride out of Austin.

It would be nice if the folks whose orders shipped today (Jasper111, vader0401, maybe cbm and Bad Leopard) could post when their orders go "live." Mine is still showing up as "Shipment information sent to FedEx" in the FedEx system but I imagine it won't get picked up and scanned until later this evening.

Just got the "Your shipment is on it's way" email with a UPS tracking number. Of course there is no info for that number yet, but I'll post here when I see some info.

Mine literally just changed to "Shipped in the last 60 seconds. When I click on the tracking button the Fed Ex page says "not found". I assume its waiting to be picked up.

You waited for the email? A real Mac fan would have been refreshing the page every 10 ms. :)

I moved into the "non-tracking tracking number" phase, too.

My new Mac Pro has an estimated delivery date of 1/24/2014, which also happens to be the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the Macintosh.

Maybe they'll swap out you're nMP for a Mac classic to commemorate!

Have any of today's (or this weekends) shipments seen any progress beyond "Initiated" yet?

Prepared yesterday; shipped today

I had received the email yesterday that my 6/32/1TB/D700 order confirmed 12/19 3:52 am EST, was prepared for shipping yesterday; and a notice this morning that it shipped today; regular shipping, to be received Friday, regular shipping.

Seems consistent with the pattern we've been seeing on the spreadsheet.

Yee Haaa !

I feel badly for those who may be a bit behind from the order time, but not bad enough to return it for you. Sorry.

I'm live in the UPS tracker, FWIW.

As far as getting stock configurations into stores - product visibility, impulse buyers, and people who don't need a CTO for their uses. There are still Apple stores that don't have a display unit and filling those gaps should be a priority.

The store displays are a complete waste. I've commented earlier, for some reason they never bothered to even put the right software on them.

One of the main selling points for the nMP is the way Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor were fine tuned to work with the dual GPUs, yet they never bothered to install the new versions of any of them.

I ran a simple test, using built-in FCPX generator footage, stretched to 8 minutes and I only added a lower thirds and a simple filter.

The result: The thing ran like a slug. Looooong render times and sluggish response.

My 2011 MacBook Pro exported this sample in 3:15

The in-store Mac Pro took nearly 1 hour!

(Technically, it took about 40 minutes before I simply stopped it and assumed it would take about 20 minute more).

If they didn't want end users to kick the tires... why put them out? Until they can put the right software on them... Keep them in the box, or better still, ship them to people who already paid for them.

That's exactly my configuration. Except my order date had to be changed when I decided to upgrade from D500 to D700. If nothing else, they're shipping.

Alright, UPS tracking number just went live and says InTransit:On Time...2 Business Days Left :apple:

Not to flog a dead horse but my FedEx number is up and running as well. See it took 14 minutes from pickup to delivery at the FedEx office.

I didn't see any entry for you on the spreadsheet, so I don't know the details; but hopefully things have picked up a bit, and you'll hear soon.
