Everyone who ordered on Dec 19th has started their 9th week of waiting yesterday. So it's 8+ weeks for me now and still no change in status whatsoever.

This is really frustrating. If things go really really wrong and Apple ships on the last day of February to keep their promise, I'm still looking at approximately another week of shipping on top. I may end up at a total of 11 weeks from order to delivery.

I would call them, and / or be dropping Mr Cook an email as that really is quite poor.

I did call them just yesterday. Unfortunately all I got was unsubstantial answers. So I may indeed try writing that email. In the end it's all I can do apart from waiting and calling once in a while.

I didnt exactly get a response full of helpful information and a valid explanation but at least i feel like im on someones radar right now. Still expecting a shipping date of 28th Feb.

Good news is my 27" Dell monitor arrives today. Will have to plug the Air into it for now.

In the same boat as you. I ordered on December 19th and have heard nada.

Just called apple concerning another order (for a new monitor), and the guy mentioned my Mac Pro. He said they have "no new information, but there's no way it will go out before the last week in February." So there you have it. That actually makes me feel a lot better. Wish they'd said that to begin with!

This has been a great thread to follow to keep track of what's happening where. It has been quite a long wait now, especially for people who ordered on day 1.

I wanted to take the optimist approach though. The vast majority of January orders shipped before the end of January, so I think it's safe to assume that most of the February orders will ship on time as well. With only 2 weeks left of February, I'll manage.

It's also worth mentioning that just by looking at the spreadsheet, the number of people who ordered nMPs after day 1 seems to drop exponentially. Apple is still fulfilling Dec 19th orders right now, but once they take care of those, they will be working through later orders at a much quicker pace (relative to the order dates).

I ordered mine jan 18 and it says February but I seriously doubt that since many dec people are still waiting. It's not urgent for me anyway. I'd like to see 10.9.2 and maybe another fw update drop first.

Chased up my apple 'exec' earlier to see if there was any news from his US colleagues as he was hoping to get and funny enough no news other than 'it will ship between today and the 28th Feb'

Made me chuckle as i could have told him that (well to be fair they could miss the 28th at the current rate!)

Emailed Tim Cook

I also emailed Tim Cook yesterday, politely asking for updates on Mac Pro orders. I received a call today from someone on the "Apple Online Executive Support" team "on behalf of Tim" assuring me that my order would ship in February, that all orders are fullfilled in the order in which they were received and that now that he was aware of my order, as soon as there would be any movement on it he would reach out to me letting me know.

I ordered on a new Mac Pro on 12/19 at 8:00 AM, but still no word other than the 2/4 "in February" email. I called Apple this morning to ask what's going on with my order, but the customer service rep couldn't tell me anything more than I already know--it's supposed to be shipped by the end of the month. However, he did upgrade my order to next day shipping because of the delay. I suppose that's better than nothing.

Not sure what good it will do, but I'm going to email T. Cook's office and register my displeasure with the length of the wait, but more importantly, the lack of communication. Given the steep price tag of the new Mac Pro, I expected more from Apple in terms of communicating with its customers.

I'm in the same boat as many of you, ordering my system on Dec. 19 and not having an status update at all. I finally called apple today to see if they had any information on why similarly configured systems placed weeks after my order have been delivered, while I'm still waiting. They just said that it would definitely ship by the end of February.

I also gave my credit card company a heads up so they wouldn't flag the transaction as fraudulent. It's hard to be patient after 8+ weeks....

I'm one of the January people (ordered Dec 19 and nMP shipped on 29 Jan). At one stage I got a call in response to a message I sent to Mr Cook. She told me she'd let me know when my order was about to ship. I've had my machine since 3 Feb and she hasn't called me yet.

I don't want upset you, but I do suggest that you contact Apple again in a few days to let them know you're still hitting that refresh key!

Ordered later in day on Dec 19th. Status just changed today: "Shipping to Store", Available February 20th in store.

Have any shipments gone beyond their estimated ship month? As far as I can tell, all the January shipments went out in January. I expect all the February ones to go out in February, etc. Apple may have underestimated demand, but they can at least estimate months OK.

I ordered on Jan 13 and was given an estimate of February. If people who ordered on the 19th of Dec are expecting February 28th at 11:59PM, what can I expect?

Moreover, now that we are halfway through February with only 2 weeks left, can we expect them to ship orders from Dec 19 to Jan 20ish in 2 weeks? That would be a GIANT feat, especially with the demand for the nMP (50% profits on eBay right now!) and the fact that they STILL haven't fulfilled orders placed mere hours after orders were taken almost 2 months ago.

I am still expecting March for my shipment, but we shall see.

Time to check in here and thank you all for making waiting so entertaining. Special thanks to scissors for the fine spreadsheet - good work, good idea. Thanks to AJ for enduring to be a "mobbing" victim and all the guys creating new ideas for making new statistics.
I'm on the February list as well and I made several scenarios to predict my shipping date - of course they all failed due to the secret curtain hanging around the production site in Texas.
Nevertheless as we often say here "Anticipation is the best kind of joy..."
- still waiting for the postman to ring the doorbell in February

silly question

This must sound silly but could anyone tell me difference between ME253X/A and MD878X/A ?? ME253X/A for 4-core and MD878X/A for 6-core as far as i know, but since I have never ordered CTO before, I'm wondering if there is other specific model names for CTO ....

Ordered 8 core, 64gb Ram, 1tb SSD and the D700s to Glasgow 49 days ago and still no word. This waiting is getting to me, I feel like i've got a sMac Problem.
