I decided to check my credit card status today and noticed the Apple Store "pending" is back on the card. Nothing exciting about that, it's come and gone once before. Then I checked my Apple Order status, still said "available to ship February". Bummer. Then I took a closer look and the option to cancel the order has disappeared, clicked the "why" and reason showed as "Not eligible to cancel item, ready for shipment". So it appears something is about to happen, hopefully finally.

The other 2 that were on order are preparing for shipment right now. A full week from receiving the first one. All were ordered same time same day via business team. I see the order numbers are a good 25 in between each other and the only difference Is the d700s. All were 12 cores and 12 gbs of ram.

Ordered a 12-core/512GB/D700s on 1/1, got useless* email #1 on 2/4, got a similar useless* email 2/17 (today).

*Useless because it gives me no new information and therefore does the opposite of reassuring me.

I think the last time I ordered something that took more than 8 weeks to arrive it was x-ray glasses from an ad in the back of a comic book.

Just ordered a 2012 MP from Scrumpymacs UK.
They got hold of 20 brand new boxed 2012 4 core systems, probably the last
available in the EU !!
I've paid to upgrade to a Hex core 3,33 and added 24gb Ram.
With the VAT off ( registered business ) it was just £2,041 and comes with free
three year applecare.

It will be with me next week and will be a welcome upgrade from my 2008
3,1 system, which has served very well.
I'm looking forward to having my pro audio system running @ 64 bit and having
proper access to all the ram within Logic Pro.
Processor / buss / ram speed bumps will be just great.

It's not everyone's choice but perfect for me as I have expensive hardware
and PCI cards to continue using, now it will all just slot into the newer one.

Even tough it's only a SATAII 3Gb/s I will add a Samsung EVO SSD as boot drive.

:)

Bad news...

I ordered 26 January and got a February ship date. Called today to try and get more information and was given the stock 'by the end of February' response. Fair enough February was always the ship date.

I did ask why orders were being shipped out of order and the agent promised to follow up and get back to me with an update from the 'warehouse'.

Just received the following...

Thank you for your recent Apple Online Store purchase.

We apologize that we're unable to expedite your order and the tentative ship date is 28 February 2014.

If you have further questions about this order, please contact Apple Online Store customer service at 133-MAC (133 622) from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) to discuss about your order.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Placed an order on Apple store for a 4core on Saturday, and got April delivery date. Then I found out that Newegg had a bunch in stock. To make it short, the Apple store order was cancelled and my nMP from Newegg is coming in today, no tax/shipping fee.

nMP delivered today! Ordered 12/19.

And no, I can't find the spreadsheet to update. Anyone have a link?

Good news Apple is finally shipping the configuration I ordered. Bad news - at least for me - they're not doing it as they're telling everyone in the order they received them. I did order mine about 15 minutes earlier than you and still no change in status. Anyway, have fun with your new shiny toy and I keep my fingers crossed Apple will get along shipping mine soon.

Got a phone call from a rep today called Nino, she was very nice and stated my nMP (8 Core, 1tb ssd, 64gb ram, d700) will ship to the UK on or before the 28th. I took that to mean it will ship on the 28th sadly....

this will be interesting

coming down to the last few days in february and they haven't even shipped my stock 4 core dec. 26th order, maybe this week apple will work some magic and push all december orders through :):)

Yeah I've been dealing with Nino too. I keep trying to explain to her that my issue isn't with the fact that I haven't received it yet but the fact that orders placed weeks after mine are being fulfilled first. All she ever says back is that they're being fulfilled in order. True politician's answer.

My order status just changed to "Preparing for Shipment"

Ordered Dec 19 3 PM PST

CC Charged

Just to add some more data - my Custom Order was placed on 9 January in US online store - last night my credit card was charged for the entire amount - Mac Pro and Apple Care. So it looks like things are moving along for the January order folks.
Hurray!

My order shipped today, UPS standard shipping with a February 24 delivery date. Ordered December 19 1:20PM PST.

Also took advantage of Dell's Presidents Day Sale and a U2713H is scheduled for this Friday delivery.

Looks like the MacPro and extra memory (ordered from Crucial) managed to both get scheduled for delivery at my work address tomorrow. It's going to be hard to not be distracted by the shiny new object in my cubicle...
