CC got charged early yday morning but still no news on shipment and still under "processing order"....

LULZ..now tat sinking feeling is back! I feel so silly getting all excited yday.

Looks like Apple poked my CC this morning, but no change on the Apple account page, and no emails from them either. I ordered on 1/3 for February shipment.

This has been an interesting week. Was laid off on Monday morning, and have been contemplating canceling this order. Figured I had a few weeks before that was even an issue.

Gosh I hurt so deeply ... I ordered on dec 27th ... However, I did call apple and ask for next day shipping and bam next day shipping when my order ships.... I would recommend doing so ASAP .... It's very therapeutic :) .... Makes your wiener tingle a little bit too !!!

I've send an email to my Apple Rep (who is a douchebag), and she can't help me with anything. She was very rude in fact, and didn't answer all my questions. She told to make a complain to the Post sell department. The other Apple rep that I had was a wonderful person, and very attention to the customer I miss him.

I've asked for Next day delivery, compensate for the time waiting, etc...

Then I tried to call Post sell department.

They don't know anything about my order, only that it will be delivery in February and the Macpro are being build in Apple Asia Factory (not in USA).

I tried to place the "next day shipping" and he said to me that he was unable to do, because the order is still in processing "mode".

And about the compensation for all the time/trouble I have waiting, he told me that I need to call them later when the Mac Pro arrive, they will transfer to the supervisor to see if It's possible to compensate in any manner.

I'm sure that I will not receive my Mac Pro in February, The Post sell department guy told me the same, it's very unlikely that I will receive before February ends.

Shonda at Apple told me this morning that she had received information they were "beginning to prepare to ship nMP units" and that my Dec 22 order (4 core, 12, 512, 300) should go out before February 28. I did mention expedited shipping and she upgraded the shipping for me to next day.

My order placed early on December 20th just updated to preparing for shipment. I am not in the spreadsheet. I assume they are going to start moving more quickly through the dates now that they have shipped most/all of the December 19th orders, as I assume that the rate of new orders dropped dramatically after the first day. For the record I have received no emails other then the initial confirmation from Apple. The initial indication I have had of any movement is the preparing for shipment on the order status page. Earlier today (7:30 AM) when I first checked it was on processing order, and there had been no indications on my credit card. I have not called Apple but from my experience there were no Tea Leaves to read except for the slow general movement forward of the orders based on when they were placed with a few lucky outliers getting to "skip" ahead, while a few seem to get left behind or don't update the spreadsheet. The wait for me has been awful and more then I expected as I thought from when I ordered it would be early February, but I am clearly within the time frame that Apple promised, I will get the machine in February. Good luck to all.

I called Apple today about my order (Dec. 23, 6-core, max everywhere else, business discount) and they gave me a bunch of information I didn't have.

They told me that they authorized my credit card last week and were currently building it. They wouldn't stick to a hard date but did upgrade my shipping to 2-day shipping.

They also informed me that my Applecare is only valid from the point of shipping onward, not from when it was purchased.

Thanks to all who suggested calling Apple, I'm feeling a lot better at the moment.

Say whutttttt~

I did question twice to see if I did ear right, I did tell him, but they are assembled in USA. He told me to wait and then gave this bomb.

I still think he was wrong... I didn't argue with him about this, I asked twice is more than enough.

He said to me that the Mac Pro will be deliver from Asia factory. Strange...

Maybe they have problems getting the international country packs to Austin and fitting them into the production process. The Chinese are already familiar with putting the international plugs into the boxes. ;)

Just received a UPS tracking number for a nMP ordered on Dec 20. Not in SS. Expected delivery 2/25 although it's not in UPS' custody yet.

I will not call again. I'll wait. There's nothing I can do.

But one thing I know, my Apple Rep will have bad a note in how she help me.

And I'm gonna try to change to another Apple Rep, I just don't want to talk to her anymore.

I don't know how can I change, but I'll find it a way.

:)

I live in the States, and ordered early on Dec. 20th, 6AM US central time. Early this morning I was in exactly the same place as you are the order is processing. Until this morning i had nothing no emails, no CC charges, etc. in a couple of hours I want to preparing to ship, and now to track shipment. From my experience I wouldn't put a lot of stock in receiving or not receiving emails, CC charges etc. I never called in to Apple since my ground shipping is only 2 days, but it might be worth your while to call and see if you can get a shipping upgrade.

I called Apple earlier in the day and they said, they had no infomation, but it will ship in Feburary. They said they will forward my inquiry to Apple support in Cork. Hopfully Fingers crossed. As I had a miss call from Apple today, I rang them back and they could not give me any infomation.

4 hours later and the status is now "Shipped."

Good luck to the everyone!!

Six days since my CC was authorised so I guess that'll drop off tomorrow. Still 'Processing Items'.

There's only 8 days of February left though so it can't be long now.

I may be wrong, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if placing the authorisation hold on someone's credit card is done just before the machine starts going through production. If the hold is successful then it starts the build process, if it isn't then it doesn't start being made until the problem is sorted out with the credit card company.

The hold may drop off (that's what happened to me) but then it ships not too long after that.

Have nothing to base that on except for my own experiences on "the nMP journey" and reading comments from others on this thread.

Glad to see some more units are being shipped. Still over the moon with my nMP - it's awesome!!!

That does sound logical. To be honest there's only 8 days of Feb left so I know it'll ship in the next week unless I'm v unlucky.

Glad you're enjoying it - my MBP is struggling now so it'll be welcome when it does get here.
