Store reports status changed from "Processing Order" to "Preparing for Shipment". It caught me off guard as I still can't decide on a monitor.

Mine is still siting on Processing items. I ordered mine on the 26th of March.
Me too. Clearly the "prioritized in order of purchase" the Apple reps are telling people isn't quite the truth...
I wonder if certain configuration options are delaying shipment? 8C/1TB/64GB here.

Yeah i think they might be, when i was on the phone to Apple a few days ago i was told there is a " component " shortage and a lot of people have been ordering custom models.

My order was 6C/512GB/16GB/D500. Maybe your build is different and they are short of a component.
Wellll I ordered mine on March 1st (6c/512/16/D700 w/ 64g ram owc upgrade) from B&H and still haven't heard a peep. Of course I would have no idea if my computer was actually just sitting on their loading dock right now since they've been closed for a week. And the last correspondence I had from them was that it was scheduled to arrive in May, even though the previous customer support person told me Apple had guaranteed it would be there in April. Nope not a bitter customer here at all. 
My nMP has shipped and I still can't choose a display. I need one that will be friendly to docking Mac and Pc notebooks without rebooting nMP or swapping cables.

I received my B&H order last week (ordered 2/20). It does not go to B&H first; it shipped directly from Austin to me. The only notice I got was an email from B&H that it had shipped. Never got a tracking number from B&H or from Apple. I was able to find my tracking number by searching on the UPS site. UPS ground, no sig required.
ETA, yours might go to B&H first because of the RAM upgrade? Were they supposed to install it for you?

Yep the customer service guy I talked to said that originally they had been shipping straight to us from apple, but that had changed and they would go to B&H first. I have a feeling it's that way for me because I did order the "free installation" that came with my RAM upgrade. Stupidly I didn't think it would affect when I would get my machine by more than a day or two.
Lucky !! Mine apparently won't ship until the 30th of April!

Too bad I will be out of town for the next two weeks...it will probably land at the Apple store tomorrow, right after I leave town!
Available to ship now down to 3-5 weeks from 4-5 when I ordered mine on April 17. I hope they're catching up, so excited

Ordered mine on the 29th of March and this morning it changed to shipping to store. 8-core, 16gb, 512gb, D700.
Frustrated.
Received my nmp 12C/D700/64GB/1TB on April 10th and was extremely excited.
Spent a couple of hours installing all my software and go to start working and hear an extremely annoying high pitched noise coming from the computer. Call apple and go through some trouble shooting and they send me to my local apple store and setup an appointment for that day. Apple technician says it's the fan. I didn't think it was the fan but give him the benefit and he checks it in and I wait 4 days for a new fan part only to get it home after being "repaired" to hear the same annoying noise. Call apple and they're sending me a replacement but now have to wait 3-5 Weeks. Not happy at all about that. I pray that they're aware of this issue and have a fix already in place on the assembly line.
