The "I just ordered / bought / got my new/refurb MBP" thread [Merged]

My new 15" MBP is due to be delivered to me at work today, two days early :D
Going to be the longest day at work ever until I can get it home...

Brand new Macbook Pro sitting under my desk, and I can't even take it out of the box :(
 
Just ordered my first MBP: 15" i7 with 500GB 7200RPM and Hi-Res Anti-glare.

I know most people say the i7 is not worth it. But my experience with my iMac 17" gave me only one regret: that I took the 17" inch instead of the 20" only because of price...

That iMac still does it's job quite well (with an external 20") and I have no idea when I will need to change it.

So I'm going all out on this one...
 
Hi Guys,

Just received mine today, spec below (3 Days Early :)), can't get over how good this thing is :) If anybody is sitting on the fence about buying one my advice is don't wait another minute, these machines are great, good luck to everyone hope ye get them soon!

Good news, my shipment just updated. I have a tracking number :). Although I have no carrier yet, it just says UK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. I assume the carrier will be updated once its been scanned. Just thought I'd let you know considering we probably are in the same batch. By the way, whens yours estimated delivery, mine says 24th May.

Argh! Good spot! Yeah, mine's the same now. Estimated delivery is 21st though so maybe you'll get yours a bit earlier than the 24th. Trying to figure out who delivers it so I can stick the tracking number!

When did you order yours? Im in CA too. Ordered my BTO 15" on the 6th but still didnt get mine:(

I don't think it's the real deal though, my Tracking Number is exactly the same as Delivery Reference Number which is a bit of a bummer. Although it is a step in the right direction, plus after doing a bit of research the tracking number usually changes to TNT or UPS after a couple of hours.

Ha, we're probably doing the exact same thing. Yeah just spotted that too. Hopefully the real reference will be through soon. From looking at some previous threads it looks like it'll arrive on the 19th (or maybe the 20th, or if I'm very lucky, tomorrow... Though I'm not counting on it).

Man, I need to get a life and stop getting over excited about this stuff. It's just a laptop :p.

Im so glad to see there are people out there who love their MBP as much as I do. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Cant wait for my new one to be delivered tomorrow!!!:p
 
I posted a few pages back, but mine was shipped on the 13th and was due to be delivered on the 19th but instead it will be arriving today, a few days early!

Can't wait! :apple:
 
MBP in sig was delivered. Unfortunately I am at school and when I get home I will only have maybe 15 minutes before I head to work for a 5 hour shift. It will be 11 hours before I can genuienly use it :(
 
I ordered mine on Friday from Amazon and should be here tomorrow (Tuesday)! I ordered the 15" i5 base model and plan on upgrading the RAM and HD later. I cannot be more excited, I'm upgrading from an old Powerbook G4 which served me well for the past 5+ years. Thanks to everyone for posting their impressions, it made my purchase that much easier.

I've just checked my bank account and I have just been charged for the MBP, so I assume it has left the UK Distribution Centre.

I think mine might be just behind yours. I was charged over the weekend. No shipping number yet or decent tracking yet.

Ordered on May 4th and shipped on May 12th.

Today my estimated delivery date dropped from May 25th to May 24th. I just hope it gets here in time for the weekend.

I also live in London.
 
Darn they didnt send it out for dleivery today even though its been in town since saturday. I know it still says 19th delivery just hoping early. School starts June 1st for me so wanna get my new toy all setup and ready for the long grind fo school ;)
 
Finally ordered the 15.4" MBP, 2.53Ghz, stock 500GB HDD, and Hi-Res glossy display for my mum. She's still using a 5-year old Celeron M 350 1.3 GHz Toshiba laptop with XP Pro SP3, it will be a huge upgrade for her. :D
 
Last update from me so I'll be stopping this running commentary, but I feel like I have tell someone!

It's due tomorrow now! It's in Tamworth, only half an hour away. Looks like I'll be here waiting instead of the library tomorrow.

Wow you must love your mom. That is a very nice computer for her. Congratulations!

Just got mine, I was a PC user and now I will never use anything else but a MAC. I am just figuring out how to use it WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
 
I hope mine arrives tommorrow. All the talk of Fedex delivering early has my hopes up too much. The fact it has been in my town since saturday is what annoys me. It could have easily been delivered today no reason to wait til the 19th
 
Finally its here!!! After a month long wait, with the order date being 18th April, flying from Shanghai to Anchorage, driven to Denver, flown to New York and then to Mumbai, finally its here and I'll have it in my hands this evening!

Its a bit surreal and the nerd in me is so god damn happy! :D
