Just ordered a Refurb 15" MPB i7! I can't wait!

It's top of the line without the top of the line cost! Should be here Monday! Let the mobile graphics machine cometh!

Eventual plans to get an internal SSD (when prices drop again) and use the superdrive bay as a place for the drive that comes with it. Portable backup/storage anyone?

Also, looking to get a Little Big Disk Thunderbolt from LaCie WHENEVER they are released for projects and photography.

Again, so excited!

A couple of days ago, I ordered my Refurb 13" MBP i5 and I can't wait to get it! This is an upgrade from my '08 Unibody Aluminum MacBook. I've wanted a MBP for a long time and I finally decided now is the time. It will be delivered on Friday. :)

Like most of my friends before me, I am ditching PC and switching to Mac. (took me long enough, huh?)

I was debating whether I should wait until the updated MBP come out (assuming the rumors are true) but the rumors seem to suggest a new device that will look/feel more like a larger MBA, I decided I like the MBP's the way they are.

So I just ordered a new 13" MBP i7 500GB. Ordered 8GB of memory from Amazon as well. I can't wait until it arrives!

:D :apple: :D :apple: :D :apple: :D

Question - recent mbp order speed?

I ordered the 17" mbp with 2.3 ghz i7, just before Lion was announced (days). I have not received it yet, the order was through a local Macdealer because I traded in an order mac, didn't want to deal with the crazies on Kijiji or eBay. I am being told Apple stopped shipping in order to switch to Lion, now it's been 3 weeks, anyone else notice this?

Usually, when I order direct the longest I've ever waited is 10 days for standard shipping. I am in Canada if that matters.

Comments please.

I live in Canada as well, in the prairie provinces; it took about a week for it to show up once I got the shipping notification email with the tracking number. Mine shipped on the 20th; I had a CTO 2.2 hi res 15", came with SL. Have you called the dealer? Perhaps it showed up damaged and they're waiting for a replacement.

I'm getting so impatient! haha I just want it here already. I leave on vacation tomorrow for a week and it won't be here until Monday. It said it could have been here tomorrow, but no luck. I guess I am going to come home from vacation with a shiny new macbook waiting for me :)

Well, I've been lurking these forums for over 2 years and I finally got a mac. It all started with the iPhone 3gs. Then just recently the iPad2. Now today I ordered the 15" 2.2 128gb ssd Hi-res anti-glare from the refurb store. I've been searching the refurb store for it since the 2011's started showing up. Wasn't quick enough the first time but this time I wasn't going to be beat. Should be coming Sometime between the 9th and the 11th. Can't wait! :D

getting a refund on the latest 13'' mc700 macbook pro. - £859

just purchased a refurbished macbook pro 2010 mc371b/a 15'', i5, 8gb, 320gb hard drive for £900.

I picked up a 13 inch MBP (i5) yesterday to finally replace my 6 year old iMac G5. I got it at Best Buy so I could earn some reward program points (actually, they're my wife's points, but whatever) and because they price matched Microcenter's $999.99 sale price.

I might have been happier with an MBA, especially where the screen is concerned, but I plan to get an external monitor. Plus, with a baby on the way, I'm trying to be more economical. :p

It's a really, really, really nice machine. Now to get a USB flash drive to make the Lion installer disk, before I run the update... or perhaps I'll just burn it to one of the DVDs I already have.

Received my refurbed 15" i7 2.66 Quad MBP 2 days ago. Manufactured in April '11. Not a scratch on it. Runs perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
Only downside is the failure of Migration Assistant.
I've spent the past 48 hours transferring files to a ext HD, installed s/w on the new MBP, etc...

Just ordered the 2.2 ghz with the high-res anti-glare and its a refurb. its replacing my trusty macbook unibody from 2008. now for the hardest part.. Waiting!

Ship date 7/29
Delivery Date: 8/5. Next Friday! I am so pumped. I am especially excited to put the SSD through its paces. Now I need to read up on switching from a PC to a mac.

brought new & got refurb MBP

I have to admit that 20 years ago, I said that I would never purchase a mac or anything Apple but then came the iPhones (3) for my wife, daughter & myself then came the 3 iPads last year; now new 2.0 i7 GHz macbook pro 15 inch (wife) on 27 Jun 11 and refurb 2.2 i7 GHz macbook pro MC725LL/A 17-inch laptop from Amazon.com on 19 Jul 11 for me.

I upgraded to 8 GB of ram for both; I upgraded hard drives to 750 GB Seagate Momentus 7200 rpm HD for the 17 inch MBP and 500 GB Seagate Momentus 7200 rpm HD for the 15 inch MBP.

I will mostly get my daughter a 15 inch MBP for XMAS this year as she has just finished college.

I really enjoy the speed and uni-body design of Apple MBPs. Now I am a mac man with a mac family.:):D:)

I finally received my MBP 13" unibody 2.3ghz 4gb from Fed EX at 5pm today. Setting up was really easy. Waiting to complete download of OSX Lion.

Love it, best birthday present ever.

I had my MBP now for over a week - love it. Best computer out there. No issues with processor, graphics or anything else. Refurb is best way to go (at least it was for me).

Great price for the 13in pro! Congrats on the save! :D

I custom-ordered a 2.2 GHz i7, 15" high-res with 128 SSD on July 24th and it arrived on July 27th! Is a custom-build normally that quick? By the way, for those waiting, my order projected a delivery of "August 3rd," but it arrived WAY sooner than that, obviously.

Mine came with Lion preinstalled and has the new Lion keyboard.

I've already dropped in 8GB of RAM myself, too. The computer is running beautifully. Takes under 8 seconds to boot up and less than 1 second to shut down.

My first Mac!

Managed to pick up 2.0GHz Quad i7 15" MBP Hires AG with Applecare for £1495, still waiting for it though. "In transit".

Replacing my 17" 2009 MBP for more oomph and portability.
