what do you think guys about the updates ? are they good or is there a better manufacturer ?
thank you

I got my first ever Mac!

Macbook Pro 13 inch (2.7Ghz Core i7 CPU), currently at the Apple Store right now while it installs OS X Lion :D:D:D

~~Typed on the 13 inch MBA that's right next to it :p

APPLE GOOD :apple:

Received my refurbed 15" i7 2.66 Quad MBP 2 days ago. Manufactured in April '11. Not a scratch on it. Runs perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
Only downside is the failure of Migration Assistant.
I've spent the past 48 hours transferring files to a ext HD, installed s/w on the new MBP, etc...

Don't you mean the dual core i7 from April 2010? There's no such thing as a 2011 2.66GHz Quad

Just ordered a 2.2GHz AntiGlare Hi-res 15" MBP with a 500GB@7500rpm HDD and 6750M GPU from educational store + Free Printer + Free $100 gift card + OWC 6G Electra 120GB and OWC 8GB DDR3-1333 memory.
I saved up for a long time to get this. it was definitely pricey but I have a feeling it'll be worth it :))

Just got my 2.55GHz i7 AntiGlare Hi-Res 15" MBP with 500GB at 7200rpm and 4GB of RAM. It's the mid-2010 model, and a huge improvement from the G5 iMac I've been using! =)

just got my new 2011 base model 15" MBP w/the hi-res anti-glare screen!

here's the best part... it came with 8GB of RAM pre-installed!!!!!!!!

I got it from the refurb store, the description said 4GB, but i've read reports here on MR of people getting them shipped with 8GB. So i decided to wait before I bought some 3rd party RAM. Glad I did!!!

I'm so pumped!

Just got my base 13" 2011 MBP. I've already upgraded it to 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB WD SSD. It's running Lion as well. Running fast and smooth!

It replaced my 13" 2009 MBP that had 4 GB RAM and a 80 GB Intel M-25 SSD. I sold that one and put a regular HD in and now the SSD might go into my G4 Hackintosh.

I also noticed that in System Profiler, with 8GB of RAM, the Intel HD Graphics 3000 uses 512 MB of RAM instead of the standard 384 MB.

wow an Intel X-25M? sweet :D
yeah if you have 8GB of RAM it bumps it up to 512MB automatically since it is being shared from your RAM instead of having it's own integrated RAM

I just payed for and am waiting on a tracking # for my new 13" Macbook Pro MC700LL/A I ordered from ebay. I'm super excited, it will be the first Mac I actually own. I almost got the Mid 2010 core2duo model but, couldn't pass up the new 32nm "Sandy Bridge" model. The only real potential I see for "bottle-necking" is in the hard drive (5400rpm). How easy is it to upgrade? Do I need to go through apple to maintain my warranty?

Thanks Guys!

Same thing happened to me Mac-key! What a way to start the MBP experience right?

Just bought my 13" MacBook Pro yesterday. I plan on upgrading the RAM to 8GB but my question is whether or not the video card is user-upgradable? Thanks.

Roll on pay day then i can order my 2011 13" MBP. Only last year did i get my 20" iMac G5 (my windoze pc snuffed it) so i bought my old mans 6yr old iMac. He upgraded to a C2D iMac.

This G5 is getting a bit long in the tooth. But i had to upgrade from this to another Mac. I really have no idea why it took me so long to get a mac. Well & truely converted.

went to the Apple store last night and got a 2011MBP13i5.

14 days to try it out.

I know its rare and hasn't been seen by many so here is a pic lol :D

Finally got a mac that seems to work

My first mac arrived a fortnight ago (15" base MBP with hi res glossy screen). As soon as it got hot green lines appeared on the screen.

Apple were very good and replaced it. I had to wait again though for the custom build. This mac seems to be ok thought, and very nice it is too.
