The "I ordered the ultimate RMBP and I have a long waiting time" support group

Hi Everybody,

I propose this thread to share the anxiety, expectations, and pain while we wait for the delivery of the RMBP with the ultimate configuration (2.7, 16, 768). Of course, change in delivery status are welcomed.

Have fun.

I'll go first

I ordered as soon as the store reopened on the 11th and I got a 3-5 week delivery time. Later, that changed to 2-3 weeks, but I didn't reflect on the order. I hope there is some kind chronological waiting list.

I was planning to avoid seeing a RMBP until I got mine, but last Saturday I walked by an Apple Store and I couldn't resist. It is amazing! Now the waiting time is much harder.

It seems the 2.7 with 768/16 is almost impossible to find at the retail stores.

Where are you based out of? This is the only model that consistently is in stock at my surrounding stores.

I love my 2012 13" MBP!

It seems that people usually only post when there's something wrong with their machines, so I just figured I'd post and say I completely love my new Mac! :)

I am in New York City. Where are you?

Should of guessed by your SN.

Southern California. Orange County.

I'm bummed because I want the 2.3 with 16 gb. I ordered online and am waiting for it to ship.

One of my clients got the maxed out one (his company paid for it all). Every day I've called they have the maxed out one. When I heard he ordered one to ship I told him... he canceled his order and just picked one up at the store : /

Now I wait!

I'm just glad this isn't another thread about how great the rmbp is and how it's changed their lives forever. It's been getting sickening around here.

Same Boat...

NYC - Apple is still processing my order...:(

No way ur picking up a maxed out rMBP in this city! (8M +population)

I called to every store in Manhattan, they told me that I can't expect the ultimate version in stock for at least two months.

I am tired of checking the online store status to see "Processing Items" over and over again!

I too am a maxed out orderer (2.7/16/768). I am also in the 2-3 week order range with a 'delivers July 2-9'.

I need some support <tears>

:D

I really hope to wake up tomorrow and see some (mostly mine) making movement.

Just Ordered

I just ordered this configuration today. Probably won't see mine until September! But anywho, don't need it right away as my old computers are still trucking along just fine. It'll be nice, though, to eventually have a computer than isn't 5 years old.

I've been on the lookout for /dev/toaster's order to update. That person ordered minutes before me but has a June 29th begin date where mine is July 2. If I see that one move, mine should be a very short time afterwards.

I was rocking the 2010 13" MBP and just upgraded to the 2012 model. I threw in the M4 512 SSD w/8GB or RAM. All I can say is WOW!!!

I'm really excited with the direction Apple is going with their laptops. However, I think there will be some growing pains for a year or so as industry adjusts to the new retina display. USB 3.0 support was huge, not to mention the other internal upgrades. My handbrake fps increased from 30 to 90! My iMac gets upwards of 180 fps but for a 13" laptop...not to shabby!

Tell Me - Did I Do Okay? MD311 Purchase

Been wanting a MBP for a long, long time. Well, finally jumped on a chance to own one. I'd like for you all to tell me if i did good or not. I hope I did.

Seems as though some guy purchased a 17" MD311 at the $2400 range, but returned it two days later. I was able to finagle the price down to $1750. Did I do good?

Hope I did.

Seems to work well and it's beautiful. I really wanted the MD311 and not a 13 or 15 inch version. Seems like I may have just squeezed under the closing gate before it was closed.

This site is great. Thanks for reading and replying I hope.

If it's only a few days old and in new condition, then yes $1750 is a great deal for that 17".

I ordered my rMBP on the 12. of june and got a 3-4 weeks wait. estimated delivery is between 13.07.12 and 19.07.12

What really bums me is that user Netromac ordered his on the 13th of june and is already shipping. (his status changed yesterday)

*NERDRAGEANDSOFORTH*

Oh. And hello to you all. I've been lurking here for about a year now and finally made the jump to the Mac world of computing.
The rMBP just had everything I'm looking for in bot prosessing power and form factor.

Got my 13"

Picked up my brand new 2012 2.5 Ghz 13" MBP last night from the apple store. This being my first Mac (other than iPhone/iPad), I am very excited to learn all the ins and outs of OSX. So far, so good as I played with it last night for a few hours. Very snappy and easy to use. I'm still used to my old (~2007) HP Inspiron (yea, it was time for an upgrade) 15" screen, but even with a smaller screen I feel like I will get used to it rather quickly.

I also ordered 8 GB (2x4) of Corsair Vengeance RAM:

Model: CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9
Type204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMMTech Spec
Capacity8GB (2 x 4GB)
SpeedDDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Cas Latency9
Timing 9-9-9-24
Voltage1.5V
Multi-channel KitDual Channel Kit
1600MHz
1.5V
Auto-overclocking (no bios configuration required)

last night from NewEgg and am excited to install it. Waiting on an SSD until I am more familiar with the upgrade process and different models. If anyone has used this Corsair Vengeance RAM though, please let me know if you ran into any problems, or if you liked it.

You probably mean Dell :p

Congrats on your new computer.
