I just ordered the second base configuration of the 13" Retina. It seems to me to be the best value for money-option. I'm a graphic designer and web developer and i5, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB ram is probably all I'm gonna need from a notebook.

Edit: On second thought I would have loved to upgrade the ram to 16GB but there is no way I'm paying ~$270 for that. (Denmark is expensive)

I'm looking very much forward to swap my Macbook Air 11" Mid 2011 for this machine. The retina display alone should justify the upgrade.

Just ordered the same config today and I am also swapping my MacBook Air 11" (only 2GB ram and 64gb hard drive.) Are you planning on selling your Air??

I ordered the 2.3 ghz / 16 gb RAM / 512 gb SSD + 750m 2gb 15" rMBP. I'm thinking about cancelling it and order the 1 TB SSD version for $500 extra.

This is the slowest delivery ever from Apple.

Ordered about 30min or so after keynote, 13/2.8/16/512.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates 27.10.2013 19:40 Avgångsskanning
27.10.2013 10:32 Ankomstskanning

Shanghai, China 27.10.2013 5:14 Avgångsskanning
27.10.2013 0:22 Exportskanning
Shanghai, China 26.10.2013 16:35 Ankomstskanning
26.10.2013 16:20 Avgångsskanning
26.10.2013 16:15 Ursprungsskanning

China 26.10.2013 1:46 Order behandlad: Redo för UPS

Took 72h to build and it will take forever to get to Sweden. Expected delivery is 31th. The worst part is that I was in Dubai until the 22th

We both have the same scan times :) . I can barely hold my Excitement!!

Mine is also still in Koeln, Germany :(. Does anyone know whether it is shipped by plane from Koeln? In that case I'm afraid it will take longer because of the cancelled flights .

Yes, I am in York which is served by the Leeds depot. Mine is out for delivery today. Woop woop :D

Mine came on the same flight and is out for delivery! Woo!

Great! Hope you both get yours today! :)

I just saw that mine's out for delivery too, from the Croydon depot. A full two days ahead of Scheduled Delivery. These UPS boys and girls move fast!!

Where do you live? I'm in Denmark, and it usually goes from Koeln in a truck.

I live in Holland, so I think it will probably also ship by truck.
I think I'm a bit impatient because I'm really fed up with waiting :p.

When did you order? :)

A couple hours after the announcement, though the order was rejected by my bank. I had to text them to confirm it was me paying all that money so I could unblock my debit card. Went to order again at 7am the next day.

Yes, I'm selling my Macbook Air (i5/4GB/64GB) for little under a half of what I payed for it two years ago. I think it's a pretty fair deal. Btw I like the fact that we have the exact same setup. I also own a 2011 27" iMac :)

I bought my 2013 rMBP 15" high-end the other day, it is staggering!

Anyone care to make an educated guess on it's resale value in 2 years time from today? Costed me 3K AUD.

You'd think expedited wouldn't go through so many locations...destination Quebec, Canada.
Last time I ordered with expedited shipping through the Online Apple store, the shipping process was a lot quicker than this...

(BTO 13' i7/16/512 ordered a few minutes after keynote)

Damn that sucks!

It just reached another location in Ontario, it is now in Concord...weird that so many "pit stops" have to be done! Anyhow, it's worth the wait!
